MFT & Friends - Janauri Product Launch

 Hello all,

It’s time for the My Favorite Things January product launch! All new products are available right now! The MFT design team, as well as special guests, are sharing projects created with the new stuff. You can find a lot of inspiration! Het is tijd voor de My Favorite Things januari product lancering. Alle nieuwe producten zijn vanaf nu verkrijgbaar! Het MFT design team en gasten delen ook vandaag weer een lading aan inspiratie!

As promised yesterday today I would show you a card featuring the Odd Couple. It's a really sweet set with cats, birds and mice. As I did not make a slimline card yet, I figured it would be fun to make one. I also turned it into a shaker card using the Slimline Stitched Circle Trio Die-Namics.

Zoals gisteren beloofd zou ik vandaag een kaart laten zien met de Odd Couple. Het is een super leuke set met katten, vogels en muizen. Aangezien ik nog geen slimline kaart gemaakt had, besloot ik er een te maken. Ik maakte er ook nog eens een shaker van met de Slimline Stitched Circle Trio Die-Namics.

Die cut a slimline rectangle out of Kraft Cardstock and partially die cutted the circles on the top and bottom of the rectangle. Splattered some white paint on to it. Cut a sidefold Smooth White base card and a bit smaller I cut a rectangle out of pattern paper. Stanste een rechthoek uit Kraft Cardstock en stanste met de cirkel stans alleen de onderste en bovenste cirkel. Spetterde wat witte verf op de Kraft rechthoek. Sneed een sidefold Smooth White basiskaart en rechthoek van Design Papier net wat kleiner.

Traced the circles on some Smooth white rectangles and inkblended some Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick. Splattered some water and glued some acetate on the back of the Kraft rectangle. Added some foam tape on the back, filled the shaker with shaker material and closed it using the inked rectangles. Glued the shaker part on to the base card. Tekende de cirkels over op twee rechthoek van Smooth White en inktblende Spun Sugar en Worn Lipstick. Spetterde water en plakte aan de achterzijde van de Kraft rechthoek acetate. Plakte foamtape op de achterzijde en vulde de shaker. Sloot de shaker met de geinkte rechthoeken en plakte alles op de basiskaart.

Die cut the word ODD out of Smooth White using the In Stitches  Alphabet Die-Namics. Glued them onto the middle of the card. Heat set the sentiment on some Cotton Candy and die cut them into smaller Strips. Stamped all the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and die cut them using the matching Die-Namics. Finished the card of adding some glossy accent and wink of stella. Stanste het woord ODD uit Smooth White met de In Stitches Alphabet Die-Namics. Plakte dit op het midden van de kaart en heat emboste de tekst op Cotton Candy. Stanste deze tot smallere strippen en plakte ze op. Stempelde de afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Werkte het geheel af door wat Glossy Accent en Wink of Stella op de afbeeldingen te doen.

My Favorite Things January Release Countdown Day 1

 Hello all,

Today is the last day of the January release countdown of My Favorite Things and you know what that means right? Tommorow all the new products will be avaible! Did you decide on what you are going to get? Luckly you have one more night to think about it! Vandaag is de laatste dag van de januari release countdown van My Favorite Things en je weet wat dat betekend! Morgen zullen alle nieuwe producten beschikbaar zijn. Heb je al besloten wat je zou willen hebben? Gelukkig kun je er nog een dag over nadenken!

As soon as I saw today's countdown products I knew I wanted to make a card with both of the sets. So watch out for tommorow's post because I will use the Odd Couple on another card tommorow. But for today an idea popped into my head straight away when I saw this couple in a boat of the I'm So in Love with You, Still stamp. So I went ahead and created this romatic water scene using it.

Zodra ik de producten van de release dag van vandaag zag wist ik dat ik met beide stempelssets een kaart wilde maken. Dus kijk uit naar de blogpost van morgen wanneer ik een kaart laat zien met de Odd Couple. Bij de kaart van vandaag die ik maakte met de I'm So in Love with You, Still stempel kwam het idee van een romantische water scene meteen bij me op. Ik ging er daarom ook meteen mee aan de slag,

Inkblended a background using Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot. Stamped the leaves using five different of MFT colors and die cut it using the A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax 1 Die-Namics. Inktblende de achtergrond met Tumbled Glass, Marmaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch en Black Soot Distress inkt. Stempelde de bladeren met vijf verschillende kleuren MFT inkt en stanste het geheel uit met de A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax 1 Die-Namics.

Out some Blue Beyond Cardstock I draw and cut the "Curtains" myself and added some ink and leaves to match the background. Heat set the sentiment on the base and die cut two grass borders out of Jalapeno Popper and inked them up. Uit Blue Beyond cardstock tekenede en knipte ik de "Gordijnen" en inkte ze op en stempelde daarna de bladeren. Heat emboste de tekst op de basiskaart en stanste twee keer wat grass uit Jalepeno Popper. Voordat ik dit opplakte bewerkte ik dit met inkt.

Stamped all the images, using the Mirror Image Stamp I stamped some off the images in the other direction. Colored them up all up using my Copics and die cut them using the matching Die-Namics or cut them by hand. Added all the images to the card and finished the card of using loads of details using a white gelpen. Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, een aantal van de afbeeldingen stempelde ik in spiegelbeeld met de Mirror Image Stempel. Kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze daarna uit met de bijpassende Die-Namcis of knipte ze uit. Plakte alles op de kaart en bracht met een witte gelpen allerlei details aan.

My Favorite Things January Release Countdown Day 2

Gnomes! Those creatures we are showcasing today and nothing better then a sweet gnome. And today we have two new stamps with gnomes in the spotlights! I combined the Love You Gnome Matter What, Love to My Gnomies together with the Over the Moon Die-Namics to create this Valentine scene.

Gnomes! Deze leuke poppetjes laten we vandaag zien. En wat is er nu better dan een leuke gnome? Vandaag laten we twee nieuwe stempels zien met gnomes in de spotlights! Ik combineerde de Love You Gnome Matter What, Love to My Gnomies samen met de Over the Moon Die-Namics en maakte deze Valentijn scene.

Cut the Over the Moon Die-Namics out of masking paper and added it onto a piece of watercolor paper. Inkblended the Background using Worn Lipstick, Milled Lavender, Wilted Violet and Black Soot. Splattered spome water and white paint and adhered the panel onto a Smooth White basecard. Stanste de Over the Moon Die-Namics uit masking papier en plakte dit op een aqaurel rechthoek. Inktblende de achtergrond met Worn Lipstikc, Milled Lavender, Wilted Violet en Black soot. Spetterde wat water en witte verf en plakte het geheel op een Smooth White rechthoek.

Die cut the Over the Moon Die-Namics out of Smooth White and inkblended it using Spun Sugar and stamped some splots using the Distressed Patterns and Worn Lipstick. Die cut two pieces of clouds out of Vellum and Smooth White and die cut some smaller clouds, inkblended the white clouds with Spun Sugar. Stanste de Over the Moon Die-Namics uit Smooth White en inktblende het met Spun Sugar. Stempelde wat spetters van de Distressed Patterns met Worn Lipstick. Stanste twee stukken wolken uit Vellum en Smooth White. Uit Smooth White stanste ik ook nog wat kleinere wolken en bewerkte deze met Spun Sugar.

Die cut the word Friend from the Thank You for Being a Friend Die-Namics out of Ripe Raspberry and added some white gelpen details. Heat set the sentiment on some Gravel Gray and trimmed it down. Finished of the hearts using wink of stella and some Glossy Accents. Stempelde de afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in en stanste ze uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Stanste het woord Friend van de Thank You for Being a Friend Die-Namics uit Ripe Raspberry en voegde wat witte gelpen details toe. Heat emboste de tekst op Gravel Gray en sneed het tot een banner. Werkte het geheel af met wat wink of stella en Glossy Accents.

My Favorite Things January Release Countdown Day 3

Welcome to day three of the January release countdown by My Favorite Things, we are halfway there! So hop along for more beautiful inspiration by the team. Welkom bij dag drie van de januari release countdown van My Favorite Things, we zijn halverwege! Hop gezellig mee langs alle design team leden voor meer inspiratie. 

I melted over this day release products, I totally love bees and what is better then to top it of with a beehive?!? So for this day I made a card using the Honey Bees, Beehive Die-Namics, the Hanging Branch Die-Namics and the Love Ya Die-Namics.

Ik smolt helemaal toen ik de release producten van deze dag zag, ik vind bijen helemaal leuk en wat is er leuker dan het compleet te maken met een bijenkorf?!? Voor deze dag maakte ik een kaart met de Honey Bees, Beehive Die-Namics, de Hanging Branch Die-Namics en de leuke Love Ya Die-Namics.

Started with inkblending a watercolor panel with Cracked Pistashio and Peacock Feathers. Splattered some water, white paint and some Peacock Feathers mixed with water. Die cut the branches out of Vintage Timber, the leaves out of Sour Apple and inkblended them with Peeled Paint. Op een stuk aquarel papier inktblende ik Cracked Pistashio en Peacock Feathers. Spetterde wat water, witte verf en Peacock Feathers gemengd met water. Stanste de takken uit Vintage Timber, de bladeren uit Sour Apple en bewerkte de met Peeled Paint.

Die cut the Beehive Die-Namics out of Kraft cardstock, dry embost it and inked it up with Kraft and Vintage Timber ink. Added a piece of Vintage Timber Cardstock behind it and added everything on to the card. Stanste de Beehive Die-Namics uit Kraft cardstock, droog emboste het en inkte het met Kraft en Vintage Timber inkt. Plakte er een stuk Vintage Timber cardstock achter en plakte alles op de kaart.

Stamped the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Die-Namics. Heat set the sentiment on some Black Licorice cardstock and trimmed it down. Die cut the Love Ya Die-Namics out of Smooth White and the outline out of vellum. Adhered them together and finished the card of adding some wink of stella on to the wings. Stempelde de afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Heat emboste de tekst op Black Licorice cardstock en stanste het uit. Stanste de Love Ya Die-Namics uit Smooth White en de outline uit vellum. Plakte het op elkaar en werkte de kaart af door wat wink of stella op de vleugels aan te brengen.

My Favorite Things Janaury Release Countdown Day 4

One day closer to the January release by My Favorite Things! Only four more days to go until the new release will be avaible! Dag 4 van de My Favorite Things januari release countdown is hier, dat betekend dat het nu nog maar vier dagen duurt voordat de nieuwe release verkrijgbaar is!

Today we are showcasing some sweet sentiments together with a few more manly products. For my card I decided to use the You Are so Loved Stamp together with the Itty Bitty Love and the Water Color Wash Free Form Stencil.

Vandaag laten we een aantal nieuwe teksten zien samen met wat meer mannelijk producten. Voor mijn kaart besloot ik de You Are so Love stempel samen te gebruiken met de Itty Bitty Love en het Water Color Wash Free Form Stencil.

On a piece of water color paper I inkblended the colors Picked Raspberry, Candied Apple and Seedles Preserved. Splattered some water and die cut it using the Stitched Rectangle 2 Stax Die-Namics. Heat set the You Are so Loved using white embossing powder.

Op een stuk aquarel papier inktblende ik de kleuren Picked Raspberry, Candied Apple en Seedles Presereved. Spetterde water en stanste het geheel uit met de Stitched Rectangle 2 Stax Die-Namics. Heat emboste de tekst You Are so Loved met wit embossing poeder.

Cut a Poppin' Pink topfold base card and added the panel. Heat set the other sentiment on some Black Licorice cardstock and cut it using the Itty Bitty Strips Die-Namics. Added the sentiments to the card and finished the card of using different seizes of gold sequins. Sneed een Poppin' Pink topfold basiskaart en plakte daarop het paneel. Heat emboste de andere teksten op Black Licorice cardstock en stanste het uit met de Itty Bitty Strips Die-Namics. Plakte de teksten op de kaart en werkte de kaart af met verschillende maten gouden sequins.

My Favorite Things January Release Countdown Day 5

 Hello all,

It’s time for the My FavoriteThings January release countdown! During the countdown, the MFT Design Team is sharing lots of projects featuring all of the new products. The new release will officially be available on January 11th at 10:00 am EST (= Europe: January 11th at 4:00 pm CET). Het is tijd voor de My Favorite Things januari release countdown! Nog 5 dagen en dan is de nieuwe release verkrijgbaar. Tijdens de countdown, laat het MFT Design Team verschillende projecten zien met alle nieuwe producten. De release zal verkrijgbaar zijn op 11 december om 10:00 am EST (in Nederland op 11 december om 16:00).

Yay the new release countdown starts today! And this release is all about love! With Valentine just around the corner the perfect theme to get crafting with. Even if you don't have secret lover, a friend or a loved colleague is worth sending a card to. Yay de nieuwe release countdown starts vandaag! Deze release staat helemaal in het teken van de liefde! Met valentijns dag om de hoek het perfecte thema om kaarten mee te maken. Ook wanneer je geen geheime minnaar hebt, kun je altijd een kaart maken voor een vriend(in) of een collega die je waardeert! 

So for the first day I made a mini slimline shaker card using the Begging to See You Soon together with the Never-Ending Love Background. For the shaker part the Heartfelt Love Die-Namics is a great word die and the Sweet Plaid Pattern Paper Pad is great for any occasion! Voor de eerste dag maakte ik een mini slimline shaker kaart met de Begging to See You Soon en de Never-Ending Love Achtergrond stempel. Voor het shaker gedeelte is de Heartfelt Love Die-Namics een super aanvulling en het nieuwe Sweet Plaid Design papier is een veelzijdige aanvulling.

So first off I die cut a Princess Pink rectangle, inkblended it with Cotton Candy and Poppin' Pink ink. Heat set the Never-Ending Background onto it and die cut the Heartfelt Love Die-Namics. Die cut another Princess Pink rectangle and again heatset the Never-Ending Background onto it. Eerst stanste ik twee Princess Pink rechthoek, inktblende één van deze met Cotton Candy en Poppin' Pink inkt. Heat emboste de Never-Ending Achtergrond stempel op beide rechthoeken en stanste de Hearfelt Love Die-Namics uit de geinkte rechthoek.

Added a sheet of acetate behind the inkblended background and filled the shaker. Closed it using the other rectangle. Cut a topfold Smooth White rectangle and added the pattern paper. Added the shaker part on to the base card. Plakte een stuka cetate achter de geinkte rechthoek en vulde de shaker. Plakte hem dicht met de andere rechthoek. Sneed een topfold Smooth White basiskaart en plakte hier een stuk designpapier op.

Stamped all the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and die cut them using the matching Die-Namics. Heat set the sentiment on some Summer Splash Cardstock and trimmed it down to a banner. Added all the elements onto the card and finished of using some wink of stella onto the hearts. Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Heat emboste de tekst op Summer Splash Cardstock en sneed het tot een banner. Plakte alle elementen op de kaart en werkte de harten af met wat wink of stella.

Scrap & Co Challenge - Liefde

 Hallo allemaal,

Het is weer de eerste van de maand dat betekend dat er bij Scrap & Co weer een nieuwe maandelijkse uitdaging is gestart. Deze maand dagen we je uit om een kaart te maken met het thema liefde. Volgens mij een hele veelzijdig thema dus doen jullie gezellig mee? Today it's the first day of the month and that means a new monthly challenge started over at Scrap & Co. This month we challenge you to make a card using the theme Love. Are you playing with us?

Meedoen met de challenge is simpel; 

• Maak een nieuwe kaart, lay-out, plannerpagina, scrapalbum of mixed mediaproject met de opdracht van die maand. (max. 2 inzendingen per persoon)
• Gebruik voor je nieuwe creatie producten/ merken die we verkopen in de (web)winkel. Twijfel je neem dan even een kijkje in de webwinkel.
• Plaats van je project 1 foto (anders zijn we het overzicht kwijt) voor de 28ste van deze maand in de betreffende map in de Scrap & Co Facebookgroep, of op Instagram onder de #ScrapenCoChallenge en tag @Scrap_en_Co
• En wie weet start jij het begin van de volgende maand wel met een leuke cadeaubon van 15 euro voor de (web)winkel, of word je door het designteam uitgekozen tot gastdesigner!
  
  Playing with the challenge is really easy;
  • Make a new card, mixed media project, scrapbook layout, planner page or a scrap album using the theme of this month. (a maximum of 2 entries per person)
  • Use products and or brands that are being sold in the (web)shop. If you are in doubt what the store is selling take a look over at the webshop.
• Add 1 photo of your project (otherwise we will loose track of things) in the matching folder in the Scrap & Co Facebookgroup. Or over at Instagram and use the #ScrapenCoChallenge and tag @Scrap_en_Co
• And who knows you might even win a giftvoucher of 15 euro to the (web)shop, or you might being picked as a guestdesigner for a upcomming challenge.

Voor mijn kaart maakte ik eerst de achtergrond, op lichtblauw papier inktblende ik de wolken met een donkerdere kleur blauw. Spetterde water en witte verf en voegde hartjes toe met structuurpasta en een stencil. Stanste het geheel uit en plakte het op een topfold basiskaart die ik bewerkte met designpapier. First of I made the background using a light blue color cardstock I inkblended the the clouds using a darker blue ink. Splattered some white paint and water. And added the hearts using a stencil and embossing paste.

Stanste de envelop, regenboog en wolken uit verschillende kleuren cardstock. Maakte het een geheel en voegde wat glitters toe aan de regenboog. Die cut the envelop, rainbow and clouds in different colors. Made the parts into a whole and added some sparkle to the rainbow.

Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en knipte ze uit. Bewerkte de hoorns met zilveren glitters. Heat emboste de teksten op het gekleurde cardstock en stanste ze uit. Plakte daarna alles op de kaart met verschillende hoogtes foamtape. Stamped all the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them with my sciccors. Added some silver sparkle to the horns. Heat set the sentiments on to some cardstock and stamped the other one. Die cut the sentiments and added all the elements using different heights of foamtape.
