My Favorite Things May Release Countdown Day 4

 Hello all,

One day closer to the May release by My Favorite Things! Only four more days to go until the new release will be avaible! Dag 4 van de My Favorite Things mei release countdown is hier, dat betekend dat het nu nog maar vier dagen duurt voordat de nieuwe release verkrijgbaar is!

Today we have the sweetest bears ever! Together with the Hexagon Pops Die-Namics it's a prefect match in my opinion.

Vandaag hebben we de zoetste beren ooit! Samen met de Hexagon Pops Die-Namics is het een perfecte match denk ik.

So i cut a Smooth White topfold base card and added the tree flowers onto the base using Cement Grey. Inkblended Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey and Tea Dye onto two pieces of watercolorpaper, splattered some water, white paint and Walnut Stain onto it. Die cut one of the using the Hexagon Pops Die-Namics. Added them to the base of the card.

Sneed een Smooth White topfold basiskaart en stempelde de bloemen op de basis met Cement Grey. Inktblende Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey and Tea Dye op twee stukken aquarel papier, spetterde er water, witte verf en Walnut Stain op. Stanste één van de rechthoeken met de Hexagon Pops Die-Namics en plakte ze op de kaart.

Stamped the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Die-Namics. Added some wink of stella to the wings and heat set the sentiment on some Black Licorice. Stempelde de afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Voegde wat wink of stella toe aan de vleugels en heat emboste the tekst op Black Licorice.

My Favorite Things May Release Countdown Day 5

Hello all,

It’s time for the My FavoriteThings May release countdown! During the countdown, the MFT Design Team is sharing lots of projects featuring all of the new products. The new release will officially be available on May3th at 10:00 am EST (= Europe: May 3th at 4:00 pm CET). Het is tijd voor de My Favorite Things spril release countdown! Nog 5 dagen en dan is de nieuwe release verkrijgbaar. Tijdens de countdown, laat het MFT Design Team verschillende projecten zien met alle nieuwe producten. De release zal verkrijgbaar zijn op 3 mei om 10:00 am EST (in Nederland op 3 mei om 16:00).

Today we are kicking of with another fun set by Birdie Brown, a beautiful Floral set, a stencil and improved alphabet die.

Vandaag starten we met de nieuwste set van Birdie Brown, een mooie bloemen set, een stencil en een verbeterde alfabet stans.

Not sure what it is but when i see a floral stamp i always like to watercolor them. I don't know why but that just happens... So stamped the image using Antique Linen Distress ink onto some water color paper and colored it in using my Zigg markers. Ik weet niet wat dat is met bloemen stempels, maar zodra ik er een zie wil ik hem inkleuren met waterverf. Stempelde daarom de afbeelding op aquarel papier met Antique Linen Distress inkt en kleurde hem in met mijn Zigg markers.

The paper was in the right seize already so i die cut the word "Mom" out of the colored panel using the In Stitches Alphabet Die-Namics. Die cut the word another three times out of Gravel Gray and glued them together. Had het papier al op de juiste maat gesneden dus stanste het woord "mom" uit het ingekleurde paneel met de In Stitches Alphabet Die-Namics. Stanste het woord nog drie keer uit Gravel Gray en plakte ze op elkaar.

Heat embost the sentiment on some Gravel Gray cardstock and cut it using the Sentiment Strip Die-Namics. Added evrything to a Kraft topfold base card and finished of the card using some clear sequins. Heat emboste de tekst op Gravel Gray cardstock en stanste het uit met de Sentiment Strips Die-Namics. Plakte alles op een tofold Kraft basis kaart en werkte het geheel af met wat clear sequins.

My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #539

 Hello all!

Today i'm back again with a new Sketch Challenge by My Favorite Things. This week i decided to make a Christmas card just because it's never to early to start on Christmas cards. Vandaag ben ik er weer met een nieuwe schets challenge van My Favorite Things. Deze week maakte ik een kerstkaart want het is nooit te vroeg om al aan je kerstkaarten te beginnen!

For this week i replaced the rectangle with my scenery and removed the sentiment strips on the right.

Deze week veranderde ik niet heel veel aan de schets, de rechthoek werd vervangen door mijn scene en het einde van de tekst balkjes aan de rechterzijde verwijderde ik.

Out of Summer Splash cardstock i cut a slimline rectangle and added some texture paste using the Snowfal Stencil. Let it dry and heat embost the sentiments onto some Wild Cherry cardstock. Cut them into smaller strips.

Stanste een rechthoek uit Summer Splash cardstock en bewerkte dit met texture paste en het Snowfall Stencil. Liet het drogen en heat emboste beide teksten op Wild Cherry cardstock en stanste ze uit.

Stamped the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Die-Namics. Cut a border of Snow out of Smooth White and essembled the card. Glued everything on a Smooth White topfold basecard. Stepelde de afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Stanste een rand met sneeuw uit Smooth White cardstock en plakte het geheel in elkaar. De basis ging vervolgens op een Smooth White topfold basiskaart.

Guestdesiger Create a Smile Stamps.

 Hello all,

Today i'm pleased to be guestdesigning for the Create a Smile Stamps challenge blog. Two weeks ago i was picked as a featured designer and i was asked to be a guest designer for this challenge. I always say yes so did i for this one. Vandaag mag ik guestdesigner zijn voor Create a Smile Stamps challenge blog. Twee weken geleden was ik als featured designer uitgekozen en werd ik gevraagd als gastdesigner. Ik zeg nooit nee dus ook deze keer niet.

This week we challenge you to create a card with a sketch. You have to use atleast one Create a Smile product as a focal point and you can play along! If you do not own anything you can always try to create something with one of there Freebies.

Deze week dagen we je uit om een project te maken met bovenstaande schets. Je kunt meedoen zolang je er maar voor zorgt dat een Create a Smile product de hoofdrol heeft. Ben je nu nog niet in het bezit van een van deze leuke producten dan kun je altijd kijken of je iets kunt maken met een van deze Freebies.

So i decided to make a mini slimline card (3,5 x 5,5 inch), cut a Smooth White base card. Cut a smaller rectangle out of Kraft paper and stamped the background on to it using Kraft ink. Splattered some white and black paint on to the panel. Deze keer besloot ik voor een mini slimline kaart te gaan (3,5 x 5,5 inch), sneed een Smooth White basiskaart. Sneed een Kraft rechthoek een slag kleiner, stempelde met Kraft inkt de achtergrond en spetterde er witte en zwarte verf op.

Cut a small strip of Black and White pattern paper and added this to the base, the kraft rectangle i added with foamtape. Heat emboste the sentiments and cut it following the line of the letters with my sciccors. Sneed een smal stripje van het Zwarte witte designpapier plakte dit op de basis kaart, plakte daarna de kraft rechthoek op de kaart met foamtape. Heat emboste de tekst en knipte het uit met mijn schaar door de rand te volgen van de lijnen.

Stamped the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them with my sciccors. Out of Smooth White i cut the photo frames and added the images behind it. For a pop of color i inkblended two squares using Tattered Rose and Abandoned Coral. Splattered some water, black and white ink and glued them behind the photo frame. Finished of the card using some black enemal dots. Stempelde de afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en knipte ze uit. Uit Smooth White sneed ik twee fotoframes en plakte de afbeelding erachter. Voor wat kleur inktblende ik twee vierkanten met Tattered Rose en Abandoned Coral, spetterde wat water, witte en zwarte berf en plakte ze achter de foto frames. Werkte de kaart af met wat zwarte enemal dots.

Hoera met pensioen.

 Hallo allemaal,

Mijn schoonvader ging afgelopen week met pensioen om dat toch een beetje te vieren hebben we gisteren gegourmet. Uiteraard kon een kaart vanuit mijn kant niet ontbreken en aangezien mijn schoonvader voor de post werkte, verwerkte ik dit in mijn kaart. Last week my father in law finally got his deserved retirement yesterday we celebrated that together with a meat gourmet. Offcourse a card from my side could not be missed so I made this card. He worked for the mail so I incoperated that into the card.

Ik maakte uiteraard een slimlinekaart want daar kan lekker veel op. De basis is een blauwe topfold kaart. Uit Smooth White stanste ik de slimline rechthoek, stempelde hier twee keer de City Block achtergrond op (Dit was nog even een klusje) en kleurde het groen in de stempel in. 

Decided to make a slimline card because a lot can go onto that. De base is a topfold blue card. Out of Smooth White i cut the slimline base, stamped the background on to it (this was a little bit of a job) en added some green color to the plants in the image.

Sneed een strook Cement Gray en gaf deze wat lijntjes zodat het op een weg lijkt. Stanste de letters voor het woord pensioen uit oranje en blauw cardstock en ook hier bewerkte ik de letters met een witte gelpen. Plakte de letters verhoogd op de kaart. Heat emboste de woorden Hoera en met op Cement Gray en knipte ze uit met mijn schaar.

Cut a strip of Cement Gray, added some white lines on to it, so it would look like a street. Die cut the letters for the word pension out of orange and blue cardstock, added some white lines to the letters and glued them on the panel with foamtape.  Heat emboss the words "hoera" and "met" on some Cement Gray and cut it using my sciccors.

Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en knipte ze uit. Plakte de uiltjes in elkaar, de enveloppen plakte ik op de kaart met foam tape en de uiltjes gingen op een action wobble. Stamped all the images, colored them using my Copic markers and cut them with my sciccors. Assembled the owls, added the enveloppes to the card using foamtape and behind the owls i added a action wobble.

Today i decided to go for another Christmas card. I challenged myself to play with the AAA cards challenge this time around. The challenge is to make a card that just has a one inch strip + the optional twist to use small images. Well that is a challenge indeed i can tell you!

So for my card i cut a Smooth White basecard, on some watercolor paper I inkblended Antique Linen, Victorian Velvet and Wilted Violet. Splattered some water and white paint onto it. Cut it into a one inch strip and added it to the bottom of the card. Sneed een Smooth White basiskaart, op aquarel papier inktblende ik Antique Linen, Victorian Velvet en Wilter Violet. Spetterde er water en witte verf op en sneed het naar een strook van één inch om het aan de onderzijde van mijn kaart te plakken.

Cut down a border of snow and inkblended a layer thin layer of Stormy Sky to the bottom of the snow. Heat embost the sentiment on to some kraft paper and die cut it using a sentiment strip. Stanste een strook sneeuw, inktblende aan de onderkant wat Stormy Sky. Heat emboste de tekst op Kraft cardstock en stanste het tot een sentiment strip.

Stamped all the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and die cut them using the Matching Die-Namics. Added them to the card and it was all done. Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met bijpassende Die-Namics. Plakte alles op de kaart en klaar was kees.

My Favorite Things - Color Challenge #164

 Hello all!

Today i'm here with a new Color Challenge by My Favorite Things. This challlenge i decided to go for a colorfull card using the Flower Silhouettes. Vandaag ben ik er met een nieuwe kleuren challenge van My Favorite Things. Voor deze challenge heb ik een verjaardagskaart gemaakt met de leuke Flower Silhouettes.

For today's card i did some stamping and ink blending it was a bit of a job but totally worth it!

Voor de kaart van vandaag deed ik wat stempel en blend werk maar het was het helemaal waard!

Cut a Smooth White panel and stamped the flowers on to the bottom of the card using Jalapéno Popper and Poppin' Pink. Ink blended the bottom using Caribbean Sea and die cut the panel using the straight die out of the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2.

Sneed een Smooth White rechthoek en stempelde de bloemen op de onderkant van de kaart met Jalapéno Popper en Poppin' Pink. Inkt blende de onderkant met Carribean Sea en stanste met de rechte stans uit de Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 Die-Namics.

Glued the panel on to a topfold Vintage Timber cardbase. Out of the same brown and Smooth White cardstock i cut the word Hugs and glued them together. On Smooth White i stamped the sentiment using Vintage Timber and cut it into a smaller strip. Finished of the card using clear sequins and in the inside i glued a Smooth White scalloped panel. Plakte de rechthoek op een topfold Vintage Timber basis kaart. Uit het zelfde bruin en Smooth Whtie cardstock stanste ik het woord hugs en plakte deze op elkaar. Stempelde de tekst met Vintage Timber en stanste het in een kleine strip. Werkte de kaart af met clear sequins en plakte aan de binnenkant een Smooth White Scalloped rechthoek.

My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #538

 Hello all!

Today i'm back again with a new Sketch Challenge by My Favorite Things. This week i decided to make a Birthday card just because i always seem to have a shortage of Birthday cards. Vandaag ben ik er weer met een nieuwe schets challenge van My Favorite Things. Deze week maakte ik een verjaardagkaart op één of andere manier lijkt ik er altijd te kort te komen!

This week i did flip the sketch over so it would turn into a horizontal card. I added three more elements so the card would be in more balance but that is basicly it.

Deze week flipte ik de schets wel en draaide hem zodat het een horizontale kaart zou worden. Voegde tevens drie elementen toe zodat het een geheel zou worden.

So i did the same process for both cards the only difference is i used two sentiments and the colors Summer Splash and Ripe Raspberry. Voor beide kaarten deed ik precies hetzelfde het verschil is een andere tekst en ik gebruikte andere kleuren; Summer Splash en Ripe Raspberry.

Cut a Smooth White sidefold cardbase, cut a strip of pattern paper and added this to the bottom of the card leaving just a white border. Die cut a Smooth White Cirkle added some ink and splattered some water and white paint. Heat embost the sentiment on some Black Licorice and cut it into a rectangle. Stanste een Smooth White sidefold basiskaart, stanste een strip designpapier en plakte dit op de onderkant van de kaart. Stanste een Smooth White cirkel en bewerkte dit met inkt en spetterde water en witte verf. Heat emboste de tekst op Black Licorice en stanste / sneed het to een sentiment strip.

Die cut the cupcake out of Kraft, Smooth white and the sprinkles out of the matching cardstock. The candle i made using Black Licorice, Lemon Drop and the matching color. The Flag is out of Kraft and the matching colors. On the banner i heat embost another sentiments. Die cut some confetti and finished of my card. Stanste de cupcake uit Kraft, Smooth White en de sprinkels uit het bijpassende cardstock. De kaart uit Black Licorice, Lemon Drop en het bijpassende cardstock. De vlag wederom uit het bijpassende cardstock en kraft papier. Heat emboste de tekst op de vlag. Stanste de conffeti uit en plakte dit op de kaart om het geheel compleet te maken.

Watch your budget but have fun shopping! De dag is aangebroken dat de Hearts Burst Hellos card kit release van My Favorite Things verkrijgbaar is! En wat vond je ervan schitterend toch? Yesterday my card was alot more white then the card i made today. I choose to pick some darker colors to combine it with the Heart Burst Die-Namics.

Gisteren was mijn kaart een stuk witter dan vandaag. Ik koos en voor om wat donkerdere kleuren toe te voegen aan de Heart Burst Die-Namics.

The base of the card is a Smooth White topfold base card. Cut a rectangle out of Eiffel Tower cardstock and heat embost the sentiment straight on to it. Die cut the Heart Burst Die-Namics once out of Black Licorice and one time out of each of the following colors; Cotton Candy, Poppin' Pink, Fire Coral, Lemon Chiffon, Lemon Drop, Orange Zest, Limelight, Jalapéno Popper, Summer Splash, Caribbean Sea, Grape Jelly and Blue Yonder.

De basis van de kaart is een Smooth White topold kaart. Sneed een rechthoek uit Eiffel Tower en heat emboste de tekst rechtstreeks op de rechthoek. Stanste de Heart Burst Die-Namics één keer uit Black Licorice en een keer uit de volgende kleuren cardstock; Cotton Candy, Poppin' Pink, Fire Coral, Lemon Chiffon, Lemon Drop, Orange Zest, Limelight, Jalapéno Popper, Summer Splash, Caribbean Sea, Grape Jelly and Blue Yonder.

Placed all the colors in the black hart in the reverse raindbow order and added in onto the card. Out of Gold Sprakle cardstock and Red Hot cardstock i cut the Hey Die-Namics. Add the "Hey" to the cardbase, add the small heart in the middle of the big heart and finish the card of using some Clear Raindrops to match the small heart with the raindrops i added some Glossy Accent. Plaatste alle kleuren in het hart in regenboog volgorde en plakte het op de kaart. Uit goud sparkle en Red Hot cardstock stanste ik de Hey Die-Namics. Plakte de "Hey" op de kaart en het smalle hartje in het midden van het grote hart. Werkte de kaart af met wat Clear Raindrops, om het kleine hartje te laten matchen met de raindrops gaf ik het een laagje Glossy Accent.

MFT Hearts Burst Hellos Card Kit Release Countdown day 1

Welcome back today for day one of the April Card kit Release countdown by My Favorite Things. Lucky the wait on the Card kit Release is only short and you can have a shopping spree already tommorow Tuesday April 20th at 10:00 am EST. Welkom terug bij dag twee van de april card kit Release countdown by My Favorite Things. Gelukkig hoef je maar even te wachten want morgen zijn ze al beschikbaar om 16:00!

For my card i decided to go for a slimline card, with alot of color, using two of the dies that come in this kit + the adorable stamp.

Voor mijn kaart besloot ik voor een slimline kaart met veel kleur te gaan, gebruikte twee van de stansen in de set en een super leuke stempel.

So i cut the down a Smooth White rectangle as big as i could go (9,4 x 22,9 cm), out of Smooth White i die cut the Heart Burst Die-Namics four times and one time out of the colors; Cotton Candy, Poppin' Pink, Fire Coral, Lemon Chiffon, Lemon Drop, Orange Zest, Limelight, Jalapéno Popper, Summer Splash, Caribbean Sea, Grape Jelly and Blue Yonder.

Sneed een Smooth White rechthoek zo groot als ik kon gaan (9,4 x 22,9), uit Smooth White stanste ik vier keer de Heart Burst Die-Namics. Ik stanste de Heart Burst Die-Namics nog één keer uit de volgende kleuren cardstock; Cotton Candy, Poppin' Pink, Fire Coral, Lemon Chiffon, Lemon Drop, Orange Zest, Limelight, Jalapéno Popper, Summer Splash, Caribbean Sea, Grape Jelly and Blue Yonder.

Placed all the colors four times in rainbow order in the hearts and added the hearts to the panel using different height of foam tape. Die cut the word Miss You out of Gold cardstock and heat embost the sentiment on some Black Licorice. Added the panel to a topfold Grout Grey cardbase and finished it of using different seizes of clear sequins. Plakte alle kleuren vier keer in de harten op regenboog volgorde en plakte de harten op de basis met verschillende hoogtes foamtape. Stanste Miss You ui goud cardstock en heat emboste de tekst op Black Licorice. Plakte het geheel op een Grout Grey topfold basiskaart en werkte het geheel af met verschillende maten doorzichtige sequins.
