Guest designer Create a Smile Challenge

Hallo allemaal,

Vandaag een post voor jullie als gastdesigner bij Create s Smile Challenge. Twee weken geleden werd mijn kaart uitgekozen als winnaar en aansluitend daarop mocht ik gastdesigner zijn. Two weeks ago my card was picked as a winner and there for i was asked to be a guest designer.

 Vandaag start er een Photo inspiratie challenge, één met een (voor mij) uitdagend kleurpalet. Aangezien ik een cadeaukaart had gewonnen had ik stempels besteld die bij het kleurenpalet zou passen echter waren deze zaterdag nog niet binnen en besloot ik dus maar te improviseren. Today starts a new Photo Inspiration challenge, one that has (atleast for me) challengeing color palet. Because i had won the last challenge i had a won a giftvoucher. I ordered stamps that would match this photo challenge but unfortanly the did not arrive yet so i had to improvise.

Ik maskeerde de bovenzijde en maakte het zand met Distress inkten. Maskeerde de onderkant en maakte de lucht met andere kleuren Distress inkten. Stempelde de boomstammen en zeemeeuwen, kleurde deze in en knipte ze uit. Masked of the top of the card and made the sand using Distress inks. Masked of the bottom and made the sky using an opposite colors Distress inks also to match the color palette. Stamped all the images, colored them up using my Copic Markers and cut them out.

Ik had geen groen papier dat in de beurt kwam van het groen dus maakte dit zelf met Distress inkt. Stanste de cactussen uit en bewerkte ze met Distress inkt. Uit kraft cardstock en met een witte gelpen maakte ik zelf de wegwijzers. Plakte alles op de kaart en stempelde de tekst. Doordat de zeemeeuwen zijn `verdwaald` plaatste ik wat vraagtekens om hun hoofden. I had no green paper matching the color palette so i made it myself using Distress ink. Die cut the cactus out of  selfmade cardstock and added some extra color using another Distress ink. Out of kraft cardstock i made the signpost. Glued everything on the card and stamped the sentiment. Because the seagulls are "lost" i added some questionmarkes above their heads.

Krafty Peeks day 1: Up, Up and away

Welcome to Day One of our May Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! Today we are sharing a set called Up, Up and Away! by artist Becky Pearce. It's a fun and versatile set with three elephants and a hot air balloon! Hallo allemaal bij dag één van de release week van Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. Vandaag laten we een stempel zien van artiest Becky Pearce genaamd Up, Up and Away! Een grappige set met drie olifantjes en een heteluchtballon.

 This set consist out of three elephants combined with a hot air balloon and to finish of the set has eight matching sentiments! De set bestaat uit drie olifanten, een heteluchtballon en om de set compleet te maken zitten er nog acht passende teksten bij.

 For my card i cut a piece of watercolor paper and added some Distress inks on it to make a a galaxy background. Splattered some water and white ink to give it some interest. Cut a rectangle white panel and out of the middle of that i used the tag die to cut the frame. Cut the cloud and added the sentiment. Voor mijn kaart sneed ik een stuk aquarel papier en maakte er met Distress inkten de galaxy achtergrond mee. Spetterde er water en witte acryl verf op voor wat speelsheid. Stanste een witte rechthoek en met de tag stans maakte ik er een frame mee. Stanste de wolk en stempelde er de tekst op.

Stamped all the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using my Borther Scan & Cut. Glued everything on the card using different heights of foamtape. Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en sneed ze uit met mijn Brother Scan & Cut. Plakte alles op de kaart met verschillende hoogtes foamtape.

MFT & Friends - May Product Launch

Hello all,

It’s time for the My Favorite Things May product launch! All new products are available right now! The MFT design team, as well as special guests, are sharing projects created with the new stuff. You can find a lot of inspiration! Het is tijd voor de My Favorite Things mei product lancering. Alle nieuwe producten zijn vanaf nu verkrijgbaar! Het MFT design team en gasten delen ook vandaag weer een lading aan inspiratie!

 For my inspiration card i used the Mother's day Bouquet stamp combined with the Good Luck Greetings Die-Namics and stamp.

Voor mijn inspiratie kaart gebruikte ik de Mother's Day Bouquet stempel in combinatie met de Good Luck Greetings stempel en Die-Namics.

 For my card i cut a topfold Steel Gray cardbase 10,7 x 14 cm. Cut a panel out of Copic friendly paper 10,2 x 13,5 cm and stamped the flower on different spots on the panel using the Extreme Black ink. To fill up some spaces i added some berries. Colored everything up using my Copic markers. Voor mijn kaart sneed ik een topfold kaart 10,7 x 14. Sneed een rechthoek uit Copic vriendelijk papier van 10,2 x 13,5 en stempelde de bloem op verschillende plekken en manieren op het paneel. Om wat lege plekken op te vullen stempelde ik wat besjes. Kleurde daarna alles in met mijn Copic markers.

Out of Steel Gray cardstock i cut the Good Luck greeting, out of vellum i die cut the outlined die and glued them together. Heat embost the sentiment on some Steel Gray cardstock and cut it using a banner die. Uit Steel Gray cardstock stanste ik de Good Luck, uit vellum stanste ik de outline stans en plakte het op elkaar. Op Steel Gray cardstock heat emboste ik de tekst en stanste het uit met een banner.

My Favorite Things May Release Countdown Day 1

Hello all,

Today is the last day of the May release countdown of My Favorite Things and you know what that means right? Tommorow all the new products will be avaible! Did you decided on what you are going to get? Luckly you have one more night to think about it! Vandaag is de laatste dag van de mei release countdown van My Favorite Things en je weet wat dat betekend! Morgen zullen alle nieuwe producten beschikbaar zijn. Heb je al besloten wat je zou willen hebben? Gelukkig kun je er nog een dag over nadenken!

 For this last day we have some sweet juices for you, it might be sour also! For my card i used the new Main Squeeze stamp with matching Die-Namics combined with the Circle Celebration Background.

Voor de laatste dag zijn er zoete vruchten of zouden ze toch zuur zijn? Voor mijn kaart gebruikte ik de nieuwe Main Squeeze stempel met bijbehorende Die-Namics gecombineerd met de Circle Celebration Achtergrond stempel.

 Cut a panel 10,5 x 13,5 and heat embost the background stamp on to it. Added some Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide inks and splattered some water. Cut a topfold white card 11 x 13,5, cut a panel 11 x 10 black and white striped designpaper and glued it in the middle of the card added the heat embost panel on top of it. Sneed een rechthoek van stempel papier en heat emboste de achtergrond stempel erop. Op de zelfde rechthoek bracht ik Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold en Scattered Straw Distress Oxide inkt en spetterde er water op. Sneed een topfold witte kaart 11 x 13,5 en een rechthoek 11 x 10 zwart, wit gestreept designpapier en plakte dit in het midden van de witte kaart. Daarop ging het geheat emboste rechthoek.

Die cut out of Vellum, Pink Cardstock, Designpaper and stamping paper the coffee cup and straws. On the stamping paper i added some Squeezed Lemonde and Stromy Sky Distress ink and added the vellum on top. Assemble the rest of the cup. Heat embost the sentiment and cut it using a banner die. Stanste uit Vellum, roze cardstock, designpapier en stempel papier de koffiebeker en de rietjes. Op het stempelpapier deed ik was Squeezed Lemonade en Stormy Sky Disrtress inkt en plakte de vellum erop. Plakte de rest in elkaar. Heat emboste de tekst en stanste het uit.

Stamped the images in some Copic friendly paper, colored them up and cut them using the matching Die-Namics. Added the Lemon slice to the top of the cup and the rest on the bottom. Finished of using different seizes of clear sequins. Stempelde de afbeeldingen op Copic vriendelijk papier, kleurde ze in en stanste ze met bijbehorende stansen. Plakte de citroen schijf op de beker en de andere citroenen er onder. Om de kaart af te maken voegde ik nog wat verschillende maten clear sequins toe.

My Favorite Things May Release Countdown Day 2

We hebben nog steeds super leuke nieuwe dingen om aan jullie te laten zien, dus ga naar de hoofdpagina van My Favorite Things en hop langs alle blogs van de Design team leden voor nog mee inspiratie!

 For today's card i used the Mother's Day Bouquet stamp and matching Die-Namics. Also today we are showing you four new stencils that are great for masking shapes on you card as a focal point! I used the Oval Extraordinaire stencil for my card today.

Voor de kaart van vandaag gebruikte ik de Mother's Day Bouquet Stempel en bijbehorende Die-Namics. Naast de stempel laten we vandaag nog vier nieuwe stencils zien. De stencils zijn super om een vorm op je kaart te maken. ik gebruikte voor mijn kaart de Oval Extraordinaire stencil.

 For the base i used some Smooth White cardstock and layed the stencil on top of it. Using Stormy Sky and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide inks to fill up to Oval. Splattered some water and white paint on to it. Heat embost the sentiment form the Mother's day Boquet stamp using gold embossing powder. Die cut everything using the Elegant Rectangle Staxx Die-Namics. Voor de basis gebruikte ik Smooth white cardstock en legde het stencil daarop. Met Blueprint Sketch en Stormy Sky Distress Oxide inkten vulde ik het ovaal en spetterde er water en witte verf op. Heat emboste de tekst uit de Mother's day Bouquet stempel met goud embossingpoeder. Stanste het geheel uit met de elegant Reectabngle Staxx Die-Namics.

Cut a topfold kraft card 10 x 12,3 cm, on top of the bases i added a designpaper panel 9,5 x 11,8 cm. Using foam tape i glued the rectangle panel on top of it. Uit kraft papier sneed ik een topfold kaart 10 x 12,3 cm, daarop plakte ik designpapier 9,5 x 11,8 cm. Het rechthoekige paneel plakte ik hierop met Foamtape.

On some Copic Friendly paper i stamped the flower bouquet four times, i colored them up using my Copic Markers. Cut out two of the flower bouquet using the matching Die-Namics. Of the other two i cut out the small flowers by hand. Added everything on the card. Op Copic vriendelijk papier stempelde ik het bloemen boeket vier keer, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers. Stanste twee boeketten uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics en uit de andere twee knipte ik de kleine bloemen. Plakte alles op het basis paneel.

My Favorite Things May Release Countdown Day 3

Welcome to day three of the May release countdown by My Favorite Things, we are halfway there! So hop along for more beautiful inspiration by the team. Welkom bij dag drie van de mei release countdown van My Favorite Things, we zijn halverwege! Hop gezellig mee langs alle design team leden voor meer inspiratie.

 Today i went a bit outside my box and left my Copic markers a side while coloring using the new Happy Hummingbird stamp and matching Die-Namics. I decided to play with my Zig markers combined with my Faber Castell Pencils.

Vandaag ging ik wat uit mijn comfortzone en liet mijn Copic markers links liggen. Voor mijn kaart met de nieuwe Happy Hummingbird stempel en bijpassende Die-Namics besloot ik mijn Zig markers te gebruiken in combinatie met mijn Faber Castell potloden.

 Stamped the hummingbirds and the flowers from the Floral Focus on some watercolor paper using Cement Grey hybrid ink. First i colored everything up using my Zig markers, afterwards i added some extra detail using my pencils. Die cut everything using my matching Die-Namics. Stempelde de hummingbirds en de bloemen van de Floral Focus op aquarel papier met Cement Grey hybride inkt. Kleurde eerst alles in met mijn Zig markers en bracht daarna wat detail aan met mijn potloden. Stanste alles uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics.

On some smooth white cardstock i added some clouds using a stencil and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. Die cut it using a stichted rectangle die. Added the flowers first and cut of the exces paper. Stamped the sentiment and adhered the panel to a topfold Sno Cone cardbase. Op Smooth White cardstock maakte ik wolken met een stencil en Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inkt. Stanste het geheel met een rechthoekige stans met een stikrandje. Stempelde de tekst en plakte het paneel op een topfold Sno Cone kaart.

My Favorite Things May Release Countdown Day 4

One day closer to the May release by My Favorite Things! Only four more days to go until the May release will be avaible! Dag 4 van de My Favorite Things mei release countdown is hier, dat betekend dat het nu nog maar vier dagen duurt voordat de nieuwe release verkrijgbaar is!

 For my inspriation card for this countdown day i used the new stamp by Stacey Yacula called Always bring a Smile + the matching Die-Namics. Voor mijn inspiratie kaart van vandaag gebruikte ik de nieuwe stempel van Stacey Yacula genaamd Always bring a Smile met de bijbehorende Die-Namics.

This time around i decided to make a slider card. So first of i made the background. I stamped and masked all the images and colored it up using my Copic Markers. I stamped the mouse separately and die cut it using the matching Die-Namics. Deze keer besloot ik een slider kaart te maken. Ik stempelde en maskeerde de achtergrond en kleurde het in met mijn Copic markers. De muis stempelde ik los en stanste deze uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics.

Die cut the pull tab twice and adhered them together, stamped the pull sentiment and decided were i wanted my slider to be. Die cut the sliderslot and adhered the die cut piece to the pull tab. Stanste de pull tab twee keer en plakte ze aan elkaar en stempelde de tekst erop. Ik bepaalde de positie van de de slider gleuf en stanste deze. Het uitgestanste "grond" plakte ik op de pull tab.

Underneath the mouse and the wheel i placed a sliderelement. On some Copic paper i made some ground so i could place this behind the slot so the design paper would not be visible. Onder de muis en het wiel plaatste ik een slider element. Op Copic papier maakte ik extra grond zodat wanneer je de muis beweegt het designpapier niet zichtbaar is maar de grond. 

Cut a topfold white card 13,5 x 11 and cut the same seize designpaper and glued them together. Placed the panel on top of the cardbase using thick foamtape. Heat embost the sentiment on some red cardstock and cut it out using a banner die. Sneed een witte topfold kaart 13,5 x 11, gebruikte dezelfde maat voor het designpapier en plakte ze op elkaar. Plakte het paneel met dik foamtape op de kaart. Heat emboste de tekst op rood cardstock en stanste het uit.
