May your day be more beautiful than unicorns & rainbows

Hallo allemaal,

Nadat ik het hele weekend heb gewerkt ben ik vandaag een dagje vrij. Lekker aan de knutsel vandaag dus. Naar aanleiding van de schets van My Favorite Things maakte ik deze unicorn kaart. After working the whole weekend i have a day off today. So i decided it was some me time and went crafting. I made this card after the sketch by My Favorite Things.

Sneed een dubbele witte topfold kaart van 13,5 x 10,5. Sneed een zelfde rechthoek uit blauw cardstock en bewerkte dit met embossing pasta en een stencil. Uit wit cardstock sneed ik de wolken en stempelde er de tekst op. Out of white cardstock i cut a topfold card seize 10,5 x 13,5. Out of blue cardstock i cut the same seize panel and added the stars using embossing pasta and a stencil. Out of white cardstock i cut the clouds and added the sentiment.

Met zes verschillende kleuren cardstock stanste ik de regenboog en de zon. De wolken stanste ik uit wit cardstock de buitenzijde plakte ik op vellum en knipte ze uit. Out of six different colors of cardstock i die cut the rainbow and the sun. Cut the clouds out of white cardstock and glued the outside part on vellum. Cut it out with my scissors. 

Stempelde de eenhoorn en kleurde deze in met mijn Copic markers. Op de hoorn deed ik wat zilveren glitters. Stamped the unicorn and colored it up using my Copic markers. On the horn i added some silver sparkle.

February release and krafty hop!

Hello everyone!

And the day has come that the February Release by Kraftin' Kimmie stamps is available! Go quickly to the shop and make sure to buy all of our new goodies! Vanaf vandaag zijn de November release producten van Kraftin' Kimmie stamps te koop, welke ga jij halen?

For my hop card i decided to make one more card using the That's a wrap set. I cut a topfold blue cardbase and cut a panel out of the same blue paper using a stitched rectangle die. Before i made my card i decided were i wanted my images to be so i could cut the  part were i want my Giftcard to be, when i decided that i cut it out of the main panel. Voor mijn hop kaart besloot ik een kaart te maken met That's a wrap. Ik sneed een topfold blauwe kaart en stanste een rechthoek uit met stitched rectangle stans. Ik bepaalde waar ik de afbeeldingen wilde hebben zodat ik kon bepalen waar het gat voor mijn cadeaukaart komt. Nadat ik dit besloten heb stanste ik hem uit. 

On the inside of the basecard were the giftcard is going to be i used the ripstrip die so someone can open the card without destroying it. Give the blue panel some extra darkness, heat embost the sentiment and added it to the basecard. Die cut a branch and another branch with leaves. Stamped the small and big flowers several times and colored them in. Put them together so it would look like a branche full of blossom. Aan de voorzijde van de basiskaart ter hoogte van de cadeaukaart gebruikte ik de ripstrip stans zodat de ontvanger de kaart open kan maken zonder hem helemaal kapot te schuren. Stanste de tak en een tak met blaadjes. Stempelde de kleine en grote bloemen, kleurde ze in en knipte ze uit. Plakte alles op de tak zodat het een tak vol bloesem lijkt.

Stamped all the images on some Copic paper and colored them using my Copic Markers. Cut all the images on the stamped line and glued it on the card. Stempelde de overige afbeeldingen en kleurde ze in met mijn Copics. Knipte alles uit op de stempellijn en plakte het op de kaart.

Krafty Peeks day 3 : That's a warp + a challenge

Welcome to day Three of the February Krafty peeks by Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. It's the last day because of tomorrow all the goodies will be available in store. Today we have a really versatile set by artist Neda called That's a wrap. Hallo allemaal, welkom bij dag drie van de februari release week van Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. Vandaag is de laatste dag want... morgen zijn alle nieuwe producten te koop! Vandaag een set van artiest Neda; That's a Wrap

This new set contains a few different images of a girl relaxing at a spa retreat combined with several matching sentiments and load accessories it is a great set for any of your card making or craft projects. Deze set heeft verschillende lieve afbeeldingen van een meisje dat bij een spa is. Uiteraard zitten er weer verschillende passende teksten bij en een aantal verschillende accessoires. 

For my sneak peak i decided to make a series of Artist Trading cards. I started with making the background. i added some distress ink mixed with water and let them dry. Added the sentiments and glued them on a base card. Voor mijn sneak peak van vandaag maakte ik een serie Artist Trading Cards. Ik maakte als eerste de achtergrond door distress inkt met water te mixed en het dan er in te dopen, liet het op drogen en stempelde daarna de tekst. Plakte de achtergronden op de basiskaartjes van designpapier.

Stamped all the images four times using Wicked Black and colored them up the same accept for the towels and the flowers. Cut them by hand and glued them on all the different cards matching the color of the flowers and the towels. Stempelde alle afbeeldingen vier keer met Wicked Black en kleurde ze allemaal hetzelfde in op de handdoeken en bloemen na. Plakte ze allemaal op de basis kaarten en zorgde ervoor dat de gekleurde bloemen matcht met de kleur handdoeken.

Krafty Peeks day 2: You're Pretty Fly

Welcome back to Day Two of our February Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! Today we are sharing a set called You're Pretty Fly by artist Cheryl Grant. It's a fun and versatile set with super cute and fun with a family of birds leaving there nest! Hallo allemaal en vandaag dag twee van de release week van Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. Vandaag laten we een stempel zien van artiest Cheryl Grant genaamd You're Pretty Fly! Een grappige set met familie vogels die het nest verlaten.

There is one main image with an extra birdie stamp plus some wonderful and uplifting sentiments! These little sweethearts make my heart soar! Er is één main image en een extra kleine vogel. Natuurlijk weer met een aantal matchende teksten!

For my card i started with a panel and gave it a touch of Charming Chartreuse. Then Took the Happy Hearts stencil and added in the hearts. I turned those hearts into leaves using my Copic Markers. I added some blue ink on the other side of the panel. Stamped the sentiment and added it on a topfold white card. Voor mijn kaart pakte ik een stuk copic papier, bracht hier wat Charming Chartreuse inkt op en aan. Pakte het Happy Hearts stencil en voegde de harten toe. Maakte van de harten blaadjes en aan de andere kant bracht ik blauwe inkt aan. Stempelde de tekst en plakte het geheel op een witte topfold kaart.

Stamped the image using Wicked Black and colored it up using my Copic Markers. Cut out the image leaving a white border and glued it on top of the cardbase. Stempelde de afbeelding met Wicked Black en kleurde deze in met mijn Copic markers. Knipte hem uit op een wit randje na en plakte hem op de kaart.

Krafty Peeks day 1: Happy Hummingbirds

Welcome to Day One of our February Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! Today we are sharing a set called Happy Hummingbirds! by artist Sabrina van Vloten. It's a fun and versatile set with super cute and fun hummingbirds! Hallo allemaal bij dag één van de release week van Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. Vandaag laten we een stempel zien van artiest Sabrina van Vloten genaamd Happy Hummingbirds! Een grappige set met kolibries.

The set contains three main images and additional flowers off course there are multiple sentiments to go with this set. De set bestaat uit drie hoofdimages, twee extra bloemen en uiteraard een aantal passende teksten.

For my card i made a slimline card base seize 6 x 8 inch scored at 3 inch. Cut a white panel 0,5 cm smaller and added the feathers using some Distress ink and the new Fabulous Feathers stencil. Inked up the edges of the panel as well. Voor mijn kaart maakte ik een slimline kaart 6 x 8 inch gerild op 3 inch. Ik sneed een wit paneel 0,5 cm kleiner en bewerkte dit met Distress inkt en het nieuwe Fabulous Feathers stencil. De zijkanten van het paneel bewerkte ik ook met Distress inkt.

Added some texture using a darker tone purple inkt splatters and some water splatters. Stamped all images on som Copic paper and colored them up using my Copic Markers. Cut them out using my Brother Scan & Cut. Bracht wat structuur aan door een donkere paarse inkt te spetteren evenals water. Stempelde alle afbeeldingen uit de set en kleurde ze in met mijn Copic Markers. Sneed ze uit met mijn Borther Scan & Cut.

Adhered all the images on the car and added some Wink of Stella glitter on the flowers. Heat embost the sentiment on some grey cardstock and cut it out. Plakte alle afbeeldingen op de kaart en bracht wat Wink of Stella glitter aan op de bloemen. Heat emboste de tekst op grijs cardstock en stanste het uit.

Gastdesigner voor Stempelgaten Challenge

Hallo allemaal,

Vandaag een kaart voor jullie die ik maakte als gastdesigner voor de Stempelgarten Challenge Daar start vandaag een challenge met het thema Heartfelt. Het eerste wat waarschijnlijk in je opkomt is een condoleance kaart maar het kan ook een bedank kaart zijn of een vriendschapskaart. De letterlijke vertaling van Heartfelt is oprecht. Today i have a card for you that i made as a guest for Stempelgarten Challenge. Today there starts a challenge with the theme Heartfelt. The first thing that came in my mind was a condolence card, but it just might be a thanks of a friendship card. 

Ik maakte een slime line kaart met de leuke Zebra's van My Favorite Things. Sneed een witte topfold kaart en maskeerde de onderkant af. Bewerkte de bovenzijde met Pine Needle en Peacock Feathers Distress ink. Spetterde wat water.  I decided to make a slime line card with the Zebra's by My Favorite Things. Cut a white topfold card and masked of the bottom. Added some Pine Needle and Peacock Feather Distress ink at the top of the masked side. Splattered some water to add some texture.

Stanste de letters uit grijs cardstock en bewerkte deze met een gelpen plakte ze op de kaart. Heat emboste de tekst op summer splash cardstock en stanste het uit met een banner die. Die cut the letters out of grey cardstock and added some interest using a gelpen. Heat embost the text on some Summer Splash Cardstock and die cut it using a banner die.

Stempelde de zebra en kleurde hem in met mijn Copic markers. Stanste hem uit met bijbehorende stans en plakte hem op de kaart. Met twine maakte ik er "vlaggenlijn" aan en plakte deze aan de afbeelding en de tekst vast. Stanste een hartje en plakte dit op de scooter. Stamped the image and colored him up using my Copic markers. Die cut him using the matching dies and adhered him. Added some twine as a "bannerline" adhered it to the scooter and banner. Die cut a small heart and added this to the scooter.

Distress ink video tutorial

Hallo  allemaal,

Zoals vorige week gezegd heb ik een tutorial gemaakt op verzoek van een aantal volgers hoe ik mij Distress ink achtergronden maak. Vandaag is het dan zo ver hij is klaar! Best veel werk zo'n voice over tutorial die een beetje degelijk is maar ik hoop dat jullie hem leuk vinden. As promised last week on request of a few followers i made a tutorial on how i make my Distress ink background. After several hours it is finally done!
