Guest designer Create a Smile Challenge

Hallo allemaal,

Vandaag een post voor jullie als gastdesigner bij Create s Smile Challenge. Twee weken geleden werd mijn kaart uitgekozen als winnaar en aansluitend daarop mocht ik gastdesigner zijn. Two weeks ago my card was picked as a winner and there for i was asked to be a guest designer.

Vandaag start er een sketch challenge op het blog, natuurlijk helemaal in mijn straatje. Ik maakte deze leuke kaart met mijn nieuwe stempel Clear Beast Feast. Today starts a new sketch challenge and that is totally in my ally. I made this card using my new stamp Clear Beast Feast

Ik maskeerde de onderkant en bracht wat Salty Ocean Distress inkt aan. Stempelde het monster onderin en stempelde hetzelfde monster nogmaals op Copic papier. Kleurde hem in en knipte hem uit om hem precies op de goede plek terug te plaatsen. Masked the bottom and used Salty Ocean distress ink to make the background. Stamped the monster on to it and stamped it again on Copic paper. Colored him up and cut him out and glued him on the right spot.

Stanste de tekst wolk en stempelde er het sentiment op haalde er een hap uit. Stempelde het monster en kleurde hem in. Knipte hem precies op de rand uit en haalde de zuurstok weg zodat hij lekker kan knabbelen aan de tekstwolk. Voegde wat enamel dots toe en gaf de ogen en lampjes een laagje glossy accent. Die cut the speech bubble and stamped the sentiment on to it and cut a piece out of the speech bubble. Stamped the monster and colored it up. Cut it out and remove the candy cane so he could eat the speech bubble. I added some enamel dots and glossy accent.

Hallo allemaal,

Mijn moeder is het weekend hier geweest en we hadden dus samen weer een knutselweekend. Zaterdag overdag heb ik een workshop gegeven bij Scrap & Co in Klarenbeek en daarna kwam mijn moeder. Deze is vanochtend weer naar huis gegaan. Mijn moeder ging als een speer maar ik had wat opstart tijd nodig. Ik maakte deze kaart met de foto inspiratie van Create a Smile. My mom visited me this weekend so we had a crafty weekend together. Saturday i hosted a workshop at Scrap & Co in Klarenbeek and after that my mom arrived. She left this morning. My mom had the most amazing ideas and was on a roll, for me i was like a old steam train slowly getting there. I made this card using the photo inspiration by Create a Smile stamp.

Uit kraftpapier sneed ik een vierkante kaart van 12,5 x 12,5 en stempelde er de whimsical wood achtergrond op. Bewerkte de randen met Walnut Stain Distress inkt en spetterde er wat gouden spetters op. From Kraft paper i cut a topfold card 12,5 x 12,5 cm. Stamped the whimsical wood background on to it and smooched the sides using Walnut Stain Distress ink. Splattered some gold on to the card, to finish it of.

Stanste uit twee kleuren groen de krans. Eén lichtgroene deze liet ik heel en de andere twee (één lichte en één donkergroene) knipte ik in stukjes. Plakte deze op de hele krans totdat er wat dimensie in de krans kwam. Voegde wat kraft takjes en witte veren toe. Als laatste bracht ik wat rode besjes aan. Out of two different colors of green i die cut the wreath. One green wreath i used as a base the other two (a light and a dark green) i cut i smaller pieces. Glued them on the wreath until i was satisfied with the dimension. Added some kraft branches and white feathers. I finished the wreath using some red berries.  

Stempelde de zeemeeuw en de boomstrook en kleurde ze in. Knipte ze uit en plakte ze op elkaar. Van een andere set stempelde ik de muts, kleurde deze in en plakte hem op de meeuw om daarna de liquid applicator warm te maken. Stempelde drie keer de tekst en heat emboste dit met goud embossing poeder. Stanste deze uit met een tekstwolken stans. Stamped the seagull and wood, colored this up, cut them and glued them together. Stamped the hat from a different set, colored it up, cut it out and glued it on the seagull. Heat set some liquid applicator on to the hat. Heat embost the sentiments three times using a gold embossing powder and cut them out with a speech bubble die.

Krafty Tips and Tuts - Krafty Scenery Stencil

Krafty Girl Marieke here and today I have a video tutorial for you on how you can use the Krafty Scenery 2 stencil to make an amazing background. For my example card i used Totally Taupe, Granite Grey, Bubbly Blue and Mossy Meadow hybrid inks. Have fun watching the video! As you can see there are a few ways to make a background, it's not hard just have a go with it. I hope my tips are helpful and as said in the video if you have any questions at all don't hesitate to ask them! Zoals je in de video hebt kunnen zien zijn er verschillende manieren om een achtergrond te maken. Het is niet moeilijk je hebt alleen wat oefening nodig. Als er vragen zijn hoor ik ze graag!

Sending holiday wishes

Hallo allemaal,

Vrijdagavond zat ik op mijn knutselkamer en ging ik aan de slag met de lopende kleuren challenge van My Favorite Things, ik denk best een uitdagende en daarom ging ik er mee aan de slag. Friday night i was playing with the current color challenge by My Favorite Things, i think it is a challenging one so that made me go with it.

Mijn eerste idee was om een kaart te maken met de trifold slider kaart. Ik maakte de basiskaart en de voorkant af en besloot gisteren te starten met de binnenkant. Echter kreeg ik de kaart niet voor elkaar en besloot de voorkant er af te snijden en er dus een normale kaart van te maken. Echter ging dit niet helemaal goed en ik maakte de basis opnieuw.. Tot ik er vanochtend achter kwam dat ik eigenlijk de verkeerde kleur grijs gebruikt had... So my orignal idea was to make a trifold slider card. I made the base and the front of the card on friday and started with the inside yesterday. I did not get my idea to work so i cut of the front of the card so i could turn it into a normal card. Something went wrong with the base so i ended up making a whole new base. To figure out this morning that i used the wrong color of grey.

De basis is een dus een Steel Grey basis die ik bewerkte met een witte acrylic paint marker. Stanste de bomen uit Smooth White en Milk Chocolate en plakte deze op elkaar. Smeerde er wat geso op als sneeuw. Stanste het sneeuw maakte er wat strepen op met Copic markers. Stanste een "struik" uit Jellybean Green en bewerkte dit met structuur pasta. The base is Steel Grey and i splattered some white paint on it using my paint marker. Die cut the trees out of Smooth White and Milk Chocolate cardstock and glued them together. I added some snow using some Geso. Die cut the snow and gave it some texture using my Copic Markers. Die cut a "bush" using Yellybean Green and added some texture using structure paste.

Stempelde de rendieren kleurde ze in met Copics en stanste ze uit. Heat emboste de tekst op Tangy Orange cardstock. Stempelde de zuurstokken en sterren en kleurde deze ook in. Stanste ze daarna uit en plakte aan wat twine. Stanste de mistletoe knipte deze wat kleiner en plakte ook deze op de twine. Stamped the deers, candy cane and stars and colored them up. Die cut them using the matching dies. Die cut the mistletoe and made them a bit smaller. Adhered the candy cane, stars and mistletoe to a piece of twine.

Winter wishes & Snowflake kisses

Hallo allemaal,

Zondag kwam ik uit de slaapdienst en had super veel zin om even een kaart te maken. Ik ben bijna klaar met mijn kerst kaarten na deze nog drie te gaan. Met de kleuren challenge van My Favorite Things en de laatste BB stempel maakte ik deze kaart. Sunday after my nightshift i was really excited to make a card. I'm almost done with my Christmas cards for this year, only three to go. With the color challenge by My Favorite Things and the latest BB stamp i made this card.

Maakte wederom een slimline kaart vind de maat super om mee te werken en het is eens weer wat anders dan de standaard rechthoekige kaarten. Sneed dus een kaart van 6 x 8 inch en rilde op 3 inch. Bewerkte de voorzijde met distress inkt en spetterde water en een acrylic white paint marker. I decided to make another slimeline card i really like the size of it and it is something different the the regular rectangle cards. I cut a piece of cardstock 6 x 8 inch and scored at 3 inch. The front of the card i gave some color using distress ink, water and a white acrylic paint marker.

Sneed een stuk wit cardstock en stanste dit uit met een van de Homespun stitched lines en knipte het aan de bovenzijde af. Stanste uit Summer Splash en Smooth white cardstock de letters winter en stanste met de losse sneeuw stans uit de BB stempel de bovenzijde en onderzijde van de letters en plakte dit op de blauwe letters. Om schaduw toe te voegen gebruikte ik mijn potloden. From white cardstock i cut a strip and die cut it using the Homespun stitched lines die-namics and cut the top part using my scissors. Out of Summer Splash and Smooth White cardstock i cut the letters winter and from the white letters i cut the top and bottom some loose snow using the small snow dies out of the BB stamp and glued them on to the blue letters. I added some shadow using my pencils.

Stempelde de drie afbeeldingen en kleurde ze in met mijn Copics, stanste ze uit met bijbehorende stansen en plakte ze op. Voor het hondje gebruikte ik de losse sneeuw stans zodat hij in het sneeuw zou liggen rollen. Voegde de tekst toe, aan de binnenzijde stanste ik nogmaals het meisje aan de linkerkant met een roze sneeuwvlok ook de tekst Winter wishes & Snowflake kisses stempelde ik om de kaart compleet te maken. Stamped the three images and colored them using my Copic markers, cut them using the matching dies. For the dog i cut some snow with the small snow die so it would look like the dog is rolling in the snow. Added the sentiment in the front, also on the inside of the card i stamped the left girl and a pink someflake. To finish of the inside of the card i also added the sentiment; Winter wishes & Snowflake kisses.

November release and krafty hop!

Hello everyone!

And the day has come that the November Release by Kraftin' Kimmie stamps is available! Go quickly to the shop and make sure to buy all our new goodies! Vanaf vandaag zijn de November release producten van Kraftin' Kimmie stamps te koop, welke ga jij halen?

For my hop day i decided to make a set of ATC cards. I cut some white base cards and used the Krafty Scenery stencil 2 together with three different hybride inks and my copic markers to make the backgrounds. Voor mijn hopdag project besloot ik een serie met ATC kaarten te maken. Stanste uit wit cardstock drie kaarten en bewerkte ze met de Krafty Scenery 2 stencil.

Als je wil zien hoe ik met het stencil zo'n achtergrond maak, zorg er dan voor dat je maandag 25 november op mijn blog of het blog van Kraftin' Kimmie stamps kijkt. Ik zal dan in een Youtube video laten zien hoe je dit doet.

So for my ATC cards i stamped the sentiments in the middle and colored in the lines using a white gel pen. I stamped all the images on the ATC as well on Copic paper and colored them in using my Copic markers. Op de ATC kaarten stempelde ik de tekst in het midden en kleurde de letters in met een witte gelpen. Stempelde alle afbeeldingen op de ATC en op Copic papier en kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers.

I cut out the images and glued them exactly on top of the stamped images so i would look like it's a one layer card. Knipte the ingekleurde stempels uit en plakte ze precies op de gestempelde afbeelding zodat het lijkt of het een laag is.

On the eyes and the heart of the yeti's i put some glossy accent to give it an extra touch. I also made some stripes on the snowball card so it looks like the snowball is incoming. Op de ogen en het hart deed ik wat glossy accent en voegde wat strepen toe bij de sneeuwbal kaart zodat het lijkt of hij word gegooid.

Krafty Peeks day 3 : Jolly Happy Snowmen + a challenge

Welcome to day Three of the November Krafty peeks by Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. It's the last day because of tommorow all the goodies will be available in store. Today we have a really versatile set by artist Sabrina van Vloten called Jolly Happy Snowmen. Hallo allemaal, welkom bij dag drie van de November release week van Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. Vandaag is de laatste dag want... morgen zijn alle nieuwe producten te koop!

The new stamp by Sabrina has five snowmen, four sentiment and two stamps to make using making a scene. So there are plenty ways you could use the stamps with! De nieuwe stempel van Sabrina heeft maar liefst vijf sneeuwmannen, vier teksten en twee stempels om een scene's mee te maken. Je kunt er dus alle kanten mee op!

Today i have yet another slider card for you only this time i decided to make a slimline slider card. I cut a top fold card 6 x 8 inch scored at 3 inch. I gave the top part some color using Distress inks. Splattered some water and some paint with my acrylic paint marker. Cut some snow and made a pond using the beach scene builder. In the pond i made a slider slot for the iceskating snowmen. Vandaag heb ik wederom een slider kaart voor jullie. Deze keer besloot ik een slimline slider kaart te maken. Sneed een topfold kaart van 6 x 8 inch en rilde deze op 3. Maakte de bovenkant paars met distress inkt en spetterde er water en witte verf op. Stanste het sneeuw en de bevroren vijver met de beach scene builder. In de vijver maakte ik een slider slot voor de schaatsende sneeuwman.

As you can see the snowmen is able to move i made a slider mechanisme behind the snow. I stamped all the images and colored them up using my Copic Markers. Fussy cut all of them and adhered them to the card. I die cut two mountains and gave them some white geso so it would look like snow. Zoals je kunt zien kan de sneeuwman bewegen, ik maakte het slider mechanisme achter het sneeuw. Stempelde alle afbeeldingen en kleurde ze in met mijn Copics daarna knipte ik ze uit en plakte ze op de kaart. Stanste wat bergen en bewerkte deze met witte geso zodat het op sneeuw lijkt.

Last i stamped the santa stamp and the sentiment to finish of my card. Als laatste stempelde ik de kerstman en de tekst om de kaart compleet te maken.

Krafty Peeks day 2: Yeti or Not!

Welcome back to Day Two of our November Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! Today we are sharing a set called Yeti or Not! by artist Neda Sedadrin. It's a fun and versatile set with super cute and fun yeti's! Hallo allemaal en vandaag dag twee van de release week van Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. Vandaag laten we een stempel zien van artiest Neda Sedadrin genaamd Yeti or Not! Een grappige set met super lieve yeti's.

This super fun set consist out of three yeti's, three sentiments and five extra stamps to use build your scene's. De set bestaat uit drie yeti's, drie teksten en vijf losse stempels om je scene's mee te maken.

For my card i decided to make a slider card. So yes the yeti on the snowboard is moving! First of i made a small base card were i made the slider mechanisme behind so you would not see it. The mountains are actually a stencil so i cut draw them and then cut them out aren't the fun? Voor mijn kaart maakte ik een slider kaart. De yeti op het snowbord beweegt op en neer! Ik maakte een kleine basiskaart waar ik het mechanisme op maakte. Ik gebruikte een slider mechanisme waarbij je de slider zelf niet ziet zitten. Voor de bergen gebruikte ik het stencil van Marianne Design.

Beside the mountain's i used some die cut trees and gave them some white using some structure paste. Stamped all the image's and colored them using my Copic Markers. Fussy cut them out and glued them behind the mountain and the other i adhered to the slider mechanisme. Behalve de bergen gebruikte ik ook de nieuwe bomen van Marianne Design. Bewerkte de bomen met wat structuur pasta als sneeuw effect. Stempelde de Yeti's en kleurde ze in met mijn Copic Markers. Knipte ze uit en plakte één yeti achter de berg en de andere maakte ik vast aan het slider mechanisme.

So here you can see that the yeti is indeed moving all the way to the other end of the card. Isn't that fun! As you can see the yeti is indeed moving all the way to the other end of the card. Is dat niet leuk? Ik vond van wel in ieder geval ;).

Christmas wishes + een Instagram giveaway

Hallo allemaal,

Vandaag was ik een halve dag vrij en ging aan de slag met de nieuwe schets van My Favorite Things. Ik had eigenlijk iets anders in gedachten maar had niet de juiste stempels (ik hoor je denken heb je ze dan niet allemaal... het antwoord is nee!) Hello all, today i worked half a day and the other half i spend creating this card with the new sketch challenge by My Favorite Things. First i had something different in mind but i did not had the right stamps.

Voor de basis sneed ik een top fold grijze kaart van 4 x 5 inch. Van wit cardstock sneed ik een rechthoek van 4 x 4,3/4 inch en stanste daar de cirkel uit 1 cm van alle drie de kanten. For the base i cut a topfold grey card 4 x 5 inch. Out of white cardstock i cut a panel 4 x 4 3/4 inch and cut the cirkle 1 cm from the tree sides.

Van twee verschillende kleuren groen stanste ik de mistletoe en plakte ze op elkaar waarbij ik de donkerste omdraaide en knipte de donkere steel af. Voegde een twine strik toe om hem compleet te maken. Out of two different colors of green i die cut the mistletoe and glued them together, but before i glued them together i flipped over the darkest one. and cut the darkest flower stalk. I added a twine bow to finish it of.

Plakte de mistletoe op de het witte paneel en knipte de lichte groen steel af. Plakte daarna het paneel op de basis met 3-d tape en gebruikte een klein stukje tape onder de laatste blaadjes. Werkte de mistletoe af met sequins. Stanste de tekst plakte dit op en stempelde wishes en stanste dit uit. Als laatste voegde ik nog wat losse sequins toe. Glued the mistletoe on the white panel and cut the light flower stalk. Glued the panel on the base card using 3-d tape and only used a small piece of tape under the lowest leaves. Die cut the word Christmas and stamped wishes. Cut the banner and finish everything using some sequins.

With love at Christmas

Hallo allemaal,

Gisteren maakte ik een kaart voor de lopende challenge van My Favorite Things. Wederom een hele tijd nagedacht wat ik wilde doen en bedacht dat dit wel leuk zou zijn. In eerste instantie was het de bedoeling dat ik er twee zou maken maar deze duurde al lang genoeg dus stopt ik na deze. Yesterday i made a card for the current challenge over at My Favorite Things. I thought hard before i figured what i was going to do with it but figured something like this would be fun. Originally i planned to make two of these only then with a different colors but this one took long enough so i only made one.

Ik begon met de achtergrond. Maskeerde het hart en maakte de achtergrond van Distress inkt, een witte paint marker en water. Haalde het gemaskeerde hart weg en bewerkte dit ook met Distress ink. So i started with the background. Masked of the heart and made de background out of Distress ink, a white paint marker and water. I removes the masked heart and used some Distress ink to finish it of.

Stanste de bomen uit zwart en wit cardstock en bewerkte de witte bomen met Distress inkt. Stanste het sneeuw en bewerkte dit met de zelfde kleur. Die cut the trees out of white and black cardstock and used some Distress ink on the white trees. Die cut the snow border and used the same color Distress ink to give it some dimension.

Uit zwart cardstock stanste ik de herten en het gewei en plakte dit op elkaar. Uit rood cardstock stanste ik het hart en bewerkte dit met glossy accent. Als laatste heat emboste ik de tekst op een stuk vellum en plakte dit op de kaart met zwarte 3-d tape. Out of black cardstock i die cut the deer and the antlers and glued it together. Die cut a small heart out of red cardstock. To finish of the card i heat embost the sentiment on some vellum and glued it on the card using some black 3-d tape.

There are two things that perk me up: Coffee and you

Hallo allemaal,

Vandaag een kaart die ik maakte met een Freebie van Create a Smile stamps, mocht je hem leuk vinden kun je hem hier vinden. Ik bewerkte de digi zodat ik ook een gespiegelde versie had en printte ze uit. Today i have a card for you that i made using a Freebie by Create a Smile stamps, if you like it you can find it here. On my PC i mirrored the image so i would have the bird looking two ways.

Uit wit cardstock stanste ik een paneel en maakte er met een stencil en Distress ink koffie vlekken op. Mengde wat inkt met water en spetterde nog wat. Sneed een topfold card uit teal cardstock en gebruikte hetzelfde cardstock voor de cirkel en de houder van de koffiebeker. Out of white cardstock i die cut a panel and made some stains on it using Distress ink and a stencil. I mixed the water with the ink and splattered some on the paper. From teal cardstock i cut a topfold card and from the same cardstock i die cut the circle and "paper" from the coffee cup.

Van Copic papier stanste ik de rest van de beker en kleurde deze in met mijn Copic Markers evenals de geprinte digitale stempels. Knipte de stempels uit en bewerkte het mutsje met Liquid applicator. Out of Copic paper i die cut the rest of the coffee cup and colored it using my Copic Markers. I also colored the digital images and fussy cut them. To give it some touch i decided to give the hats a small touch of liquid applicator.

Stanste een hart uit rood cardstock en plakte alles op elkaar en op de kaart. Heat emboste de tekst op de basis en op een strook teal cardstock en gaf alle drie de harten een laagje glossy accent. Om de kaart af te maken voegde ik nog enamel dots toe. Out of red cardstock i die cut a heart and glued everything together and on to the card base. I heat embost the sentiments on a teal banner and on the card base. With glossy accent i gave a touch to the hearts and to finish of the card i used some red enamel dots.

Ik zou je knuffelen als je niet zo besmettelijk was...

Hallo allemaal,

Zondag maakte ik niet alleen het kaartje met de smeltende sneeuwman maar ook onderstaande beterschap kaart. Deze was wel een iets langer process dan de sneeuwman maar ik vind hem zelf super leuk geworden.

Het is een slimline kaart geworden. Met Distress inkt en een stencil maakte ik het gras, aan de bovenzijde gebruikte ik een blauwe Distress inkt. 

Op een stuk wit cardstock maakte ik het grass met Distress inkt en stanste het met de gras stans. Stanste de letters en bracht met Copic Markers het gras aan.

Uit kraft papier stanste ik het hekwerk en plakte dit op. Stempelde de tekst op het gras en plakte het daarna met 3-d tape op evenals de letters, voordat ik de H op plakte stempelde ik er ziek.. op.

De schaapjes stempelde ik en kleurde ze in met mijn Copic Markers, stanste ze daarna uit met bijpassende stansen en plakte er de wiebel-ogen op en maakte de mondjes. Stempelde de bloemen en kleurde deze in en stanste ze met bijbehorende stansen.

Stanste de wolken en de zon en maakte met een zwarte fineliner de vogels.
