Double M Challenge - Een nieuw begin

Hallo allemaal,

Het is weer de eerste woensdag van de maand dat betekend dat ook dit jaar maandelijks een kaart gemaakt wordt voor de Double M Challenge. Marjolein en ik maken 1x in de maand een kaart met een thema en opdracht. Voor deze maand was de opdracht; Een nieuw begin. Ik verwerkte de opdracht twee keer, een nieuwjaar en een baby op komst. Met deze kaart doe ik ook graag mee met de lopende Lawnfawnatics Challenge; Let's Celebrate. It's the first wednesday of the month wich means I have a Double M challenge card. Marjolein and I create a card each month with a theme. This month the challenge was to create a card with the theme; A new start. I used the theme twice a New Year and a new baby. With this card I would also like to join the running Lawnfawnatics Challenge; Let's Celebrate.

Op een rechthoek inktblende ik Broken China, Chipped Sapphire en Black soot en bespetterde dit met water en witte verf. Heat emboste daarna het vuurwerk met goud embossing poeder. Stanste de achtergrond stans 2x, een maal uit zwart cardstock en 1x uit Kraft cardstock, beinkte het met Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain en Black Soot voordat ik het op de kaart plakte.

On to a rectangle I inkblended Broken China, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. Splattered some water and white paint. Heat set the fireworks using gold embossing powder. Die cut the backdrop twice, once out of black cardstock and once out of kraft cardstock. Inked up the Kraft piece using Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and Black Soot before adding it on to the card. 

Stanste het woord Cheers 1x uit goud glitter cardstock en 3x uit zwart cardstock. Plakte deze op elkaar en in het midden van de kaart. Heat emboste de andere tekst op wit cardstock en stanste deze tot een banner.

Die cut the word Cheers once out of Gold glitter cardstock and three times out of black cardstock. Adhered them together and on to the card. Heat set the other sentiment on some white cardstock and die cut it to a small banner.

Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, kleurde deze in en knipte ze uit. Bewerkte de ooievaar door wat zwart veren toe te voegen voordat ik de afbeelding inkleurde. Stempelde een rood hart op de buik van één van de kangaroos. Stamped all the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them. Added some details to the stork before coloring it up. Stamped a small red heart on to the belly of one of the kangaroos.

Merry Christmas & a flappy New Year

Hallo Allemaal,

Vandaag een kaart die ik maakte voor de lopende Lawnfawnatics Challenge; Sparkle and Shine. Today a card that I created for the running Lawnfawnatics Challenge; Sparkle and Shine.

Sneed zwart en witte stroken cardstock van 1/4 inch en goud glitter stroken van 1/8 inch. Plakte deze om en om op een witte topfold kaart. Sneed een zwart stuk cardstock,bewerkte de bovenzijde met een stenen stencil en witte inkt. Bespetterde het daarna met water en witte verf.

Cut black and white 1/4 inch strips and 1/8 inch gold sparkle cardstock. Adhered them onto a topfold white base card. Cut a piece of black cardstock and inked up some bricks using a white ink. Splattered some water, white paint.

Stanste alle andere onderdelen voor de Magic Iris en plakte het mechanisme in elkaar. Stanste de gemaakte achtergrond uit met de Magic Iris Add-on. Stanste alle onderdelen van het vogelhuisje. Beinkte deze en plakte het in elkaar. Heat emboste de tekst op een stuk zwart cardstock en plakte dit achter de Magic Iris.

Die cut all the elements of the Magic Iris and essembled the mechanisme. Die cut inked background using the Magic Iris Add-on. Die cut all the elements for the birdhouse and adhered them together. Heat set the sentiment on some black cardstock and adhered it behind the Magic Iris.

Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en knipte ze daarna uit. Heat emboste de tekst op een stuk zwart cardstock en stanste het tot een banner. Plakte alles op de kaart. met lijm of foam tape. Stamped all the sentiments, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using my sciccors. Heat set the sentiment on some black cardstock and die cut it. Adhered all the elements on the card using foam tape or glue.

Have a Special 2025

Vandaag een kaart die ik maakte voor de lopende Lawnfawnatics Challenge; Happy new year photo inspiration. Voor een stel vrienden die net weten dat ze in 2025 ouders worden maakte ik onderstaande kaart in combinatie met het nieuwjaars thema. Today a card that I created for the running Lawnfawnatics Challenge; Happy new year photo inspiration. A befriended couple just found out the are expecting a baby, to create a special card for them I combined the baby and new year's theme into one card.

Sneed zwart en witte stroken cardstock van 1/4 inch en goud glitter stroken van 1/8 inch. Plakte deze om en om op een witte topfold kaart. Sneed een zwart stuk cardstock, maskeerde de onderzijde en bewerkte de bovenzijde met een stenen stencil en witte inkt. Bespetterde het daarna met water, witte en gouden verf.

Cut black and white 1/4 inch strips and 1/8 inch gold sparkle cardstock. Adhered them onto a topfold white base card. Cut a piece of black cardstock and inked up some bricks using a white ink. Splattered some water, white and gold paint.

Stanste de voorzijde van het muizenhol uit het paneel, beinkte de onderzijde met witte inkte en plakte een strook wit papier op voor de "plint". Heat emboste alle teksten en de wasknijpers op zwart cardstock en stanste of knipte deze uit. Heat emboste op de rompers "2025" en maakte een waslijn met de wasknijpers en zwart twine. Die cut the front of the micehole, inked up the bottom and adhered a strip of white cardstock that is the skirting board. Heat set alle the sentiments and the clothespins onto black cardstock and cut them. Heat set the rompers with "2025" and adhered them into a laundry line using the clothespins.

Sneed een stuk zwart cardstock voor achter de muizen, ik wilde hier een soort van disco thema maken. Heat emboste daarom de gouden stralen voor de disco bal en bracht wat roze/ blauwe (hoe toepasselijk ;)) stralen aan voordat ik het op de basiskaart plakte. Cut a piece of black cardstock for behind the mice. I wanted to create a disco background. So I heat set the golden beams for the discoball and added some pink and blue (how fitting fo the baby theme) beams and adhered the panel to the base card.

Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, bewerkte de ufo tot een discobal en kleurde daarna alle afbeeldingen in en knipte ze uit met een schaar. Gewerkte alle goudkleurige afbeeldingen met een witte gelpen. Stamped all the images, added some lines to the ufo to create the discoball and colored up all the images. Cut them and added some white gelpen details to the gold colored images to make them "sparkle".

My Favorite Things January Release - 3 Days Until the New Release

 Hello all,

One day closer to the January release by My Favorite Things! Only four more days to go until the new release will be avaible! Dag 2 van de My Favorite Things januari release countdown is hier, dat betekend dat het nu nog maar vier dagen duurt voordat de nieuwe release verkrijgbaar is!

Today we are showcasing two new stamps by artist Yan. For my card today I thought it would be fun to create a card that would match the Chinese New Year symbol the dragon. I created this card by using the Darling Dragons Stamp & Die Duo.

Vandaag laten we de nieuwste twee stempels van artiest Yan zien. Voor mijn kaart besloot ik het symbool te gebruiken voor het Chinese nieuw jaar van dit jaar namelijk de draak, Ik maakte de kaart met de Darling Dragons Stamp & Die Duo.

Cut a Red Hot rectangle and inkblended Barn Door and Black Soot onto it. Heat set all the fireworks using a gold embossing powder and the Festive Fireworks. Die cut the numbers using Red Hot and Gold cardstock together with the Solid and Outline Numbers Die-Namics.

Sneed een Red Hot rechthoek en inktblende de kleuren Barn Door en Black Soot. Heat emboste al het vuurwerk met goud embossingpoeder en het Festive Fireworks. Stanste de nummers uit goud en Red Hot cardstock door gebruik te maken van de Solid en Outline Numbers Die-Namics.

Stamped the image, colored him up and cut him using the matching Die-Namics. Heat set the sentiment using the Banner Day Celebrations and cut it using the matching It's a Banner Day Die-Namics. Stempelde de afbeelding, kleurde hem in en stanste hem uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Heat emboste de tekst van Banner Day Celebrations en stanste hem uit met de bijpassende It's a Banner Day Die-Namics.

Studio Light - I Hope You Have a Lovely 2023

Hier is mijn wekelijkse post voor Studio Light weer. Deze keer maakte ik met de Sweet Stories producten twee keer een nieuwjaarskaart, beide een beetje hetzelfde maar toch anders. I'm back with my weekly post for Studio Light. This time around I decided on making New Years card, both a bit the same but also quite different using a few of the Sweet Stories products.

Voor mijn kaart had ik het idee om een buitenlucht te doen met vuurwerk, toen ik met het kaartje bezig was bedacht ik me dat de sterren ook wel leuk zou zijn zo maakte ik dus twee kaarten maar dan net even anders. 

For my card I thought about making a outdoor scene with fireworks, but while crafting I thought a sky with stars would be cool also. Then I could not decided what to craft so I just made two of them.

Inktblende de achtergrond met Broken China, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. Inktblende het gras met Black Soot dekte het af en spetterde met water en witte verf. Legde de achtergronden te droge en ging aan de slag met de andere  details.

Inkblende the background using Broken China, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. Inkblended the grass using Black Soot and a mask. Masked of the grass and splattered some water and white paint. Put the backgrounds aside and continued with something else.

Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers and knipte of stanste ze uit met de bijpassende stansen. Ik pakte de achtergrond er weer bij en heat emboste het vuurwerk met goud embossing poeder en de sterren met wit embossingpoeder.

Stamped all the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them by hand or with the matching dies. Grabbed the backgrounds again and heat set the fireworks using a goldembossing powder and the stars using a white one.

Heat emboste de tekst op wit en zwart cardstock en stanste dit uit tot banners. Stanste de cijfers uit goud glitter papier en plakte alles op de basis. Het geheel ging op een witte topfold basiskaart.

Heat set the sentiment on some white and black cardstock and die cut them to banners. Die cut the numbers out of gold glitter cardstock and adhered everything onto the base. Adhered both bases to a topfold white basecard.

Om het geheel compleet te maken bracht ik op de brillen en ballonen wat glossy accent aan. Op de rode kaart deed ik op alle rode bloemen ook nog wat glitter. To finish of the cards I added some glossy accent to the glasses and balloons. On the red card I also added some glitter to all the red flowers.

My Favorite Things December Release Countdown Day 3

 Hello all,

Welcome to day three of the December release countdown by My Favorite Things, we are halfway there! So hop along for more beautiful inspiration by the team. Welkom bij dag drie van de december release countdown van My Favorite Things, we zijn halverwege! Hop gezellig mee langs alle design team leden voor meer inspiratie.

So we are half way and not done with inspiring you with new products! Today I made a shaker card using a few of the new release products! Again I created my own background this time around I used the Colorful Confetti Background stamp!

We zijn halverwege de countdown maar nog lang niet klaar met jullie inspireren van de nieuwe producten! Vandaag maakte ik een shaker kaart met verschillende nieuwe release producten! Ook vandaag maakte ik weer mijn eigen achtergrond deze keer gebruikte ik de Colorful Confetti Background stempel.

First off stamped and heat embost the Colorful Confetti Background in Black Licorice and gold embossing powder. This stamp is rotatable to create a funn confetti background. Die cut a rectangle using the Double Stitched Rectangle A2 stax Die-Namics. Eerst stempelde en heat embsote ik de Colorful Confetti Background in Black Licorice and goud embossing poeder. Het is een stamp die je kunt draaien om zo een confetti achtergrond te creeren. Stanste het geheel uit met de Double Stitched Rectangle A2 Stax Die-Namics.

Cut a slightly larger gold rectangle and adhered them together. Die cut the Tall Cheers Die-Namics out of the middle and adhered some acetate on the back of the card. Cut a Smooth White topfold base card and adhered some Black Licorice cardstock to the front. Adhered the shaker onto it. Sneed een klein stukje groter een gouden rechthoek en plakte dit op elkaar. Stanste de Tall Cheers Die-Namics eruit en plakte er wat acetate achter. Sneed een Smooth White topfold basiskaart en plakte op de voorzijde een stuk Black Licorice cardstock. Plakte de shaker op de kaart.

Die cut the champagne glasses using the Pop the Champagne Die-Namics adhered them together and in the middle of the card. Heat set the sentiment using the Champagne Sentiment on some Black Licorice cardstock and adhered it to the base card. Stanste de champagne glazen van de Pop the Champagne Die-Namics en plakte ze op elkaar en in het midden van de kaart. Heat emboste de tekst van de Champagne Sentiment set op Black Licorice, stanste tot een banner en plakte ook dit op de kaart.

My Favorite Things December Release Countdown Day 5

 Hello all,

It’s time for the My FavoriteThings December release countdown! During the countdown, the MFT Design Team is sharing lots of projects featuring all of the new products. The new release will officially be available on December 6th at 10:00 am EST (= Europe: December 6th at 4:00 pm CET). Het is tijd voor de My Favorite Things december release countdown! Nog 5 dagen en dan is de nieuwe release verkrijgbaar. Tijdens de countdown, laat het MFT Design Team verschillende projecten zien met alle nieuwe producten. De release zal verkrijgbaar zijn op 6 december om 10:00 am EST (in Nederland op  december om 16:00)

Are you ready for the last release of this year?? We are going out with a bang I can tell you! For today we are showcasing you Festive Fireworks that match perfectly with the Banner Day Celebrations with the matching It's a Banner Day Die-Namics. And to top it of we also are introducing you to the Outline and Solid Numbers Die-Namics.

Zijn jullie klaar voor de allerlaatste maandelijkse release van dit jaar?? We gaan er uit met een boom en een knal! Voor vandaag laten we de Festive Fireworks zien die perfect samen gaat met de Banner Day Celebrations en de bijpassende It's a Banner Day Die-Namics. En om het geheel compleet te maken introduceren we ook de Outline en Solid Numbers Die-Namics.

For my inspiration card for today I cut a a2 seize topfold basecard and stamped the fireworks onto them using teal, blue and brown inks. Stamped te sentiment "happy" on some Smooth White cardstock and trimmed it down. Heat set the other sentiment on Kraft can die cut it using the It's a Banner Day Die-Namics.

Voor mijn inspiratie kaart van vandaag sneed ik een A2 topfold Smooth White basiskaart en stempelde hier het vuurwerk op met teal, blauw en bruine inkten. Stempelde op Smooth White cardstock de tekst "happy" en stansten uit. Op Kraft cardstock heat emboste ik de andere tekst en stanste hem uit met de Banner Day Die-Namics.

Die cut the numbers out of Smooth White and Blue Yonder cardstock and adhered them together. Adhered the sentiments on top of the numbers and finished off adding some mat pearls. Stanste uit Smooth White en Blue Yonder cardstock de cijfers en plakte alles op de kaart. Werkte het geheel af met wat mat zilveren parels.

Studio Light - Happy New Year!

 Hallo Allemaal,

Hier is mijn wekelijkse post voor Studio Light weer. Deze keer maakte ik met verschillende Sweet Stories releases een nieuwjaars slimline kaart. I'm back with my weekly post for Studio Light. This time around I decided to making a slimline card using all different Sweet Stories releases.

Stanste een rechthoek uit zwart cardstock en maskeerde 2 cm aan de onderzijde. Met het stenen stencil en witte inkt, inktblende ik de muur en spetterde witte verf. Sneed een topfold witte basiskaart en uit wit, zwart en goud glittercardstock sneed ik stroken en maakte mijn eigen designpapier.

Die cut a black rectangle and masked off 2 cm of the bottom of the rectangle. Using the brick stencil and white ink, I inkblended the wall and splattered some white paint. Cut a topfold white base card, some strips of paper out of black, white and gold glitter cardstock and made my own pattern paper. 

Uit wit en goud glittercardstock stanste ik 2023 en plakte zo op elkaar en op de kaart. Heat emboste de tekst op zwart cardstock en sneed dit tot een banner, plakte het daarna op de kaart met foam tape.

Out of white and gold glitter cardstock I die cut the numbers 2023 en adhered them together and onto the card. Heat set the sentiment on some black cardstock and trimmed it into a banner, after that I adhered it on the card using foam tape.

Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met de bijpassende stansen. Plakte alles op elkaar en daarna op de kaart met lijm of verschillende hoogtes foam tape. Stamped all the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching dies. Adhered everything together and onto the card using glue and different heaights of foamtape.
