My Favorite Things Rachel Ann Miller Release Countdown Day 2

 Hello all,

This month we have another special My FavoriteThings release countdown! My Favorite Things is introducing a new Artist; Rachel Ann Miller! The new release will officially be available on February 2nd at 10:00 am EST (= Europe: February 2nd at 4:00 pm CET). Deze maand hebben we nog een speciale release countdown van My Favorite Things! My favorite Things introduceert een nieuwe artiest namelijk Rachel Ann Miller! De release zal verkrijgbaar zijn op 2 februari om 10:00 am EST (in Nederland op 2 februari om 16:00).

So what do you think about our new artist? It's a good one! As soon as i saw this image i knew i wanted to use the Band-aids Die-Namics with it.

Wat vinden jullie van de nieuwe artiest super leuk toch? Zodra ik deze stempel zag wist ik dat ik de kaart wilde combineren met de Band-aids Die-Namics.

For my card i cut a topfold Eiffel Tower cardbase and splattered some white paint on to it. On some Smooth White cardstock i stamped the Buffalo Plaid background and cut out the band-aids in Smooth White and the stamped paper. Cut the hearts out of Butterscotch and Summer Splash.

Voor mijn kaart sneed ik een topfold Eiffel Tower basiskaart en spetterde er witte verf op. Op Smooth White stempelde ik het Buffalo Plaid achtergrond stempel en stanste deze en uit Smooth white met de Band-aids Die-Namics. De hartsjes stanste ik uit Butterscotch en Summer Splash.

Stamped the image, colored it up using my Copic Markers and cut it using the matching Die-Namics. Stamped the sentiment and cut it down to a strip and added everything on the card. Finished of using some enemal dots. Stempelde de afbeeldingen, kleurde deze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste het uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Stempelde de tekst en sneed het tot een strip, plakte vervolgens alles op de kaart. Werkte het geheel af met enamel dots.

Yellow - Y17, Y15, Y13

Gastdesigner Carlijn Design

 Hallo allemaal,

Hier is hij dan mijn laatste kaart als gast designer voor Carlijn Design. Ditmaal geen Valentijn thema maar een kaart die ik maakte voor een stagaire die haar stage afgerond heeft bij mij op het werk. Mijn collega vroeg mij een grote kaart te maken hij is 10 x 23,5.

Ik wilde de kaart graag neutraal houden daarom de keuze voor Squirrel! van My Favorite Things. Gecombineerd met de Grote Teksten en bij passende stans vind ik hem zelf erg leuk geworden.

Sneed een Smooth White side fold basiskaart en een rechthoek van kraft van 9,6 x 22,9. Bewerkte dit met witte inkt en spetterde er groene en witte spetters op.

Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics.

Heat emboste bedankt op Candied Apple en stanste het uit met de bijpassende stans, bewerkte het met Peeled Paint. Dit hetzelfde voor het gras aan de onderkant en bracht wat witte stippen aan met een gelpen.

Stempelde de tekst onder het grote woord bedankt en op een stuk Smooth White, maakte hier een tekstwolk van en plakte alles op de kaart. Bracht hier en daar wat details aan met een witte gelpen en een zwarte fineliner.

MFT Friendship Card Kit Release

Watch your budget but have fun shopping! De dag is aangebroken dat de Friendship card kit release van My Favorite Things verkrijgbaar is! En wat vond je ervan schitterend toch? Welke producten belanden bij jou in het mandje? Let op je budget maar heb vooral plezier met winkelen!

For today's card i decided to go with a very Clean and Simple Design. But one that really stands out.

Voor mijn kaart van vandaag ging ik voor een heel strak Clean en Simple ontwerp. Maar wel eentje die er uit springt.

Cut a Smooth White panel, cut the word Friendship out of it and added the panel on to a topfold Eiffel Tower carbase. Added the inner pieces on the spot were they should be. Sneed een Smooth White rechthoek en stanste er het woord Friendship uit. Plakte de rechthoek op een Eiffel Tower topfold basiskaart en plakte de losse onderdelen van de letters op de juiste plek.

Heat embost the sentiment on some Butterscotch and cut it down to a banner. Heat emboste de tekst op Butterscotch en maakte er een banner van.

Die cut the Love Speech Bubbles out of Smooth White, Eiffel Tower and Butterscotch. Glued them together and added them on the cardbase. Stanste de Love Speech Bubbles uit Smooth White, Eiffel Tower and Butterscotch. Plakte ze op elkaar en daarna op de basiskaart.

MFT Friendship Card Kit Release Countdown day 1

Welcome back today for day two of the January Card kit Release countdown by My Favorite Things. Lucky the wait on the Card kit Release is only short and you can have a shopping spree already tommorow Tuesday January 26st at 10:00 am EST. Welkom terug bij dag twee van de janauri card kit Release countdown by My Favorite Things. Gelukkig hoef je maar even te wachten want morgen zijn ze al beschikbaar om 16:00!

So for today's card i decided to go CAS, that is what i really like about this kit is that you can make any kind of cardtype.

Voor de kaart van de vandaag besloot ik voor een CAS kaart te gaan, dat vind ik namelijk aan deze kit erg leuk is dat je er allerlei soorten kaarten mee kunt maken.

Cut a standard A2 Smooth White topfold cardbase. On the left side i cut both the Polka Dots Pops Die-Namics and adhered a Butterscotch panel on the inside of the card. Sneed een standaard A2 Smooth White topfold basiskaart. Uit deze kaart stanste ik aan de linkerzijde de Polka Dots Pops Die-Namics en plakte er een strook Butterscotch achter aan de binnenzijde van de kaart.

On some Eiffel Tower i heat embost the Best Friend Background stamps and cut it using the largest Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Flag. Took the same die only then the middle seize and cut it out of vellum and the smallest seize out of Butterscotch. Op een stuk Eiffel Tower cardstock heat emboste ik de Best Friend Achtergrond stempel en stanste het geheel uit met de grootste maat Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Flag. Met dezelfde Die-Namics stanste ik de middelste "vlag" uit Vellum en de kleinste uit Butterscotch.

Heat embost the sentiment on the Butterscotch banner and adhered all together on the topside of the banners. Glued it onto the main card again only with the top. Stamped the sentiment on some Smooth White and cut it out. Adhered it to the base and finished of the card using some black twine and clear sequins. Heat emboste de tekst op de Butterscotch "vlag" en plakte alles alleen aan de bovenkant aan elkaar. Zo plakte ik het geheel ook op de basiskaart. Stempelde de tekst op Smooth White en stanste het uit. Plakte het op de basiskaart en werkte de kaart af met wat zwarte twine en clear sequins.

MFT Friendship Card Kit Release Countdown day 2

Today we are kicking of with a amazing Card kit release countdown by My Favorite Things! If you miss you friends to bits than this card kit it the right card kit for you! This release will be avaible Tuesday January 26th at 10:00 am EST. Vandaag starten we met een super leuke cardkit release countdown van My Favorite Things! The cardkit contains two stamps (one of them is Kit exclusive!), for the big set there is a matching What Friendship Means Die-Namics, Boxed-in Banners Die-Namics, Friend & Friendship Die-Namics, Five sheets of Smooth White cardstock, Three sheets Butterscotch and Three sheets Eiffel Tower. De cardkit bestaat uit twee stempels (één daarvan is Kit-exclusief!), voor de grote stempel is een bijpassende What Friendship Means Die-Namics, Boxed-in Banners Die-Namics, Friend & Friendship Die-Namics, Vijf vellen Smooth White, Drie vellen Butterscotch en Vijf vellen Eiffel Tower.

So for my card i cut a standard A2 Eiffel Tower cardbase. Heat embost the sentiments on to Ripe Raspberry, Lemon Drop, Limelight, Summer Splash and Grape Jelly cardstock. Using Smooth White i cut the outside of the Boxed-in Banners and adhered them to the Friend and Friendship sentiments.

Voor mijn kaart sneed ik een standaard A2 topfold Eiffel Tower basiskaart. Heat emboste de teksten op Ripe Raspberry, Lemon Drop, Limelight, Summer Splash and Grape Jelly cardstock. Stanste de teksten uit met de Boxed-in en Fishtail Foundations Die-Namics. Uit Smooth White stanste ik de buitenzijde van de Boxed-in Die-Namics en plakte dit op de Friendship en Friend banners. 

Adhered the sentiments to the panel but a but wonky so it would look playful. To finish of the card i added some enamel dots and some accents with a white gelpen. Plakte de teksten wat verschoven op voor een speels effect. Werkte de kaart af met wat details van een witte gelpen en gekleurde enamel dots.

My Favorite Things Slimline Challenge

The new year has started that means we get some new challenge's also! Today starts a new 4 weekly challenge the Slimline Challenge. No Gueses here, we challenge you to make a s slimeline card! The theme this time is to make a wintery scene. Het nieuwe jaar is begonnen en dat betekend dat we ook een aantal nieuwe challenge's hebben. Vandaag start een van de nieuwe 4 weekelijkse challenge de Slimline challenge. Je raad het natuurlijk al we zien graag dat je een slimline kaart maakt. Het thema deze keer is een winters landschap.

So for this challenge i played with the Dashing Deer, i cased one of my own cards i made two years ago. You can find it here.

Voor mijn kaart speelde ik met de Dashing Deer, ik maakte een kaart na die ik een aantal jaren geleden maakte, je kunt hem hier vinden.

So i cut a Gravel Gray rectangle and splattered some white paint onto it. Cut the trees out of Milk Chocolate and glued some Smooth White behind it. Cut of the acces and added some gesso to the branches. Stanste een rechthoek uit Gravel Gray en spetterde hier witte verf op. Stanste de bomen uit Milk Chocolate, plakte er Smooth White achter en knipte het uit. Op de taken deed ik wat Gesso zodat het lijkt of er sneeuw op ligt.

Cut a strip of Jellybean Green, cut it using the Grassy Hills and added some texture paste. Cut a banner Smooth White cardstock and added some texture to it using the snow using a stencil and Hickory Smoke Distress ink. Stanste een strook Jellybean Green met de Grassy Hills en voegde er wat structuur aan toe met structuurpasta. Stanste een strook Smooth White en bracht er wat structuur in aan met een stencil en Hickory Smoke Distress inkt.

Stamped all the images, colored them up and cut them using the matching Die-Namics. Heat embost the sentiment and cut it into a smaller banner. The whole panel is glued on a side fold Smooth White base card. Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in en stanste ze uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Heat emboste de tekst en stanste er een banner van. Plakte het geheel op een sidefold Smooth White basiskaart.

For my card today i used Trendy Triangles together with the Lots of Hugs and Twice the Hugs Die-Namics. Turned them into a Clean and Simple card design.

Voor mijn kaart van vandaag gebruikte ik de Trandy Triangles samen met de Lots of Hugs en Twice the Hugs Die-Namics. In het geheel veranderde ik in een Clean en Simple kaart design.

Cut a Smooth White panel, stamped the triangles on the card using Lemon Chiffon, Lemon Drop, Cement Gray and Black Licorice. Cut a Cement Gray topfold base card and added the panel onto it. Sneed een Smooth White rechthoek, stempelde hierop de verschillende driehoeken in de kleuren Lemon Chiffon, Lemon Drop, Cement Gray en Black Licorice. Sneed een topfold Cement Gray basiskaart en plakte het paneel hierop.

Cut the word hugs out of Lemon Drop and added it to the panel. Heat embost the sentiment on some Black Licorice and finsihed of the card using some clear sequins. Stanste het woord Hugs uit Lemon Drop cardstock en plakte het op de kaart. Heat emboste de tekst op Black Licorice en werkte het geheel af met clear sequins.

My Favorite Things - May Vault Release Countdown day 2

Gelukkig hoef je maar even te wachten want ze zijn dinsdag al beschikbaar om 16:00!

I'm so happy that in this vault release the Mini Mail Die-Namics and the Big Birthday wishes is returning! Totally love the seize of the enveloppes! 

Ik vind het zo leuk dat de Mini Mail Die-Namics en de Big Birthday Wishes terug tijdens deze vault release! De kleine enveloppen zijn helemaal top om te gebruiken in allerlei projecten.

For my card i die cut a Smooth White slimline rectangle. Using Cotton Candy, Lemon Drop, Limelight, Summer Splash and Grape Jelly to add splatters to the card. Stamped the sentiment using Black Licorice. Voor mijn kaart stanste ik een Smooth White slimline rechthoek. MEt Cotton Candy, Lemon Drop, Limelight, Summer Splash em Grape Jelly maakte ik de spetters. Stempelde de tekst met Black Licorice.

Die cut five of the mini enveloppes out of Smooth White and die cut the hearts in the matching colors cardstock. Assembled all of them and adhered them to the panel. Stanste vijf keer de mini enveloppen uit Smooth White cardstock en stanste de harten uit de matchende kleuren cardstock. Maakte de enveloppen compleet en plakte ze op de rechthoek.

Cut a Smooth White topfold cardbase, cut a piece of pattern paper and added this to the cardbase. Glued the envelope panel to the cardbase using foam tape. Sneed een Smooth White basiskaart. Sneed een stuk designpapier en voegde dit toe aan de basiskaart. Plakte als laatste de gestanste rechthoek op de basiskaart met foamtape.

My Favorite Things - Vault Release Countdown day 3

Hello all,

Today i'm back back with a new Vault release for My Favorite Things! For the people who don't know what it means; My Favorite Things is bringing back older products but then they are updated to here and now. So if you missed out on them back then, here is your change to scoop them up! Vandaag ben ik er met een nieuwe Vault release van My Favorite Things! Voor de mensen die het niet kennen; My Favorite Things brengt oudere producten opnieuw uit alleen dan in een nieuw jasje. Mocht je deze eerder gemist hebben is het nu je kans om te halen.

Today we have some amazing dies and stamps in the pocket. Just hop around all the other designteam member and you will be amazed! For my card i combined the Friend Die-Namics with the Friends Like us and the You Gnome Me.

Vandaag hebben we weer een aantal super leuke stempels en stansen voor jullie die opnieuw uit gaan komen. Hop langs de andere designteam leden en je zult verbaasd worden! Voor mijn kaart combineerde ik de Friend Die-Namics met de Friends Like us en de You Gnome Me.

Cut a Smooth White Slimline rectangle and cut out the Friend Die-Namics, i had to die cut it a few more times to get it out the whole panel. Cut a Topfold Kraft cardbase and a strip of designpaper. And placed that on the card were the open spot behind the friend will be. Sneed een Smooth White slimeline rechthoek en stanste daaruit de Friend Die-Namics, ik stanste hem daarna nog twee keer aan iedere zijde zodat hij volledig door was. Sneed een topfold Kraft basiskaart en een strip designpapier. Plakte het designpapier op het gedeelte wat "open" is.

Stamped the sentiment on to it and cut a heart wich i colored using my Copic Markers. Stempelde de tekst op de rechthoek, stanste het hart en kleurde het in met mijn copics en plakte het geheel op de basis.

Stempelde de afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Plakte alles op de basiskaart en werkte het geheel af met doorzichtige sequins.

Fijne Valentijnsdag

Hallo allemaal,

Vandaag ben ik er weer met een kaartje als gastdesigner bij Carlijn Design. Voor vandaag maakte ik een interactieve kaart met de Valentine Kisses en het leuke Movin' & Groovin' mechanisme.

Ik stanste als eerste de achtergrond uit Smooth White cardstock. Met Salty Ocean Distress inkt en een wolken stencil maakte ik de wolken. Stanste uit Smooth White cardstock de wolk en bewerkte ook de onderkant van de wolk met Salty Ocean.

Stempelde de alle afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic Markers en knipte ze uit. Bewerkte de vleugels met Wink of Stella clear glitter en de hartjes met Glossy Accent. Plaatste alles op de kaart zoals ik het wilde hebben en stempelde de teksten.

Maakte nu het mechanisme op de kaart en stanste de tekst op de pulltab. Sneed een topfold Smooth White basiskaart en plakte hier het roze designpapier op. Daarna ging het gehele mechanisme op de kaart met (Foam) tape.

My Favorite Things - Color Challenge #157

 Hello all!

Today i'm here with a new Color Challenge by My Favorite Things. This challlenge i decided to go for a Birthday card, on of the patient i work with asked if i could make a card for him now all the stores are closed. Vandaag ben ik er met een nieuwe kleuren challenge van My Favorite Things. Voor deze challenge heb ik een verjaardag kaart gemaakt. Een van mijn bewoners vroeg of ik een kaart wilde maken voor hem aangezien hij geen leuke gevonden kon krijgen doordat de winkels dicht zijn voor mij uiteraard geen enkel probleem!

Once busy it was a challenging color combo but i managed to pull it of. Because the recipient is turning one i figured the giraffe would be great on a birthday card!

Eenmaal bezig was het toch best lastig om de juiste combi te vinden met dit kleurenschema, maar het is gelukt! De ontvanger word 1 jaar dus ik dacht dat de Giraffe hier leuk bij zou passen.

First i cut a Smooth White a2 topfold cardbase, cut the frame out of Summer Splash and added it to the base card. Cut the frame another time out of Smooth White and used the inside to add some stars onto it using Tropical Teal Dye Ink. Sneed een Smooth White topfold a2 basiskaart, stanste het frame uit Summer Splash en Smooth White cardstock and plakte het Summer Splash frame op de kaart. De binnenkant van het Smooth White stansje bewerkte ik met een stencil en Tropical Teal Dye inkt.

Cut the Giraffe out of Smooth White, Kraft, Milk Chocolate, Black Licorice and Cotton Candy and assembled it. Cut the word Hooray three times out of Smooth White and once out of Tropical Teal and adhered it together. Stanste de Giraffe uit Smooth White, Kraft, Milk Chocolate, Black Licorice en Cotton Candy en plakte alles op elkaar. Stanste het woord Hooray drie keer uit Smooth White en een keer uit Tropical Teal en plakte het op elkaar.

Cut the stars out of Smooth White, Kraft and Milk Chocolate and added them on the frame. Stamped the sentiment with Kraft Dye ink and cut it to a small banner. Stanste de sterren uit Smooth White, Kraft en Milk Chocolate en plakte ze op het frame. Stempelde de tekst met Kraft Dye inkt en maakte er een kleine banner van.
