Have a frightfully sweet Halloween.

Hallo allemaal,

My Favorite Things Superstar Contest 2019 - CAS

Hello all,

So my brain was making over hours the last couple of days, i entered the contest with this card in the Innovation master category. I really wanted to enter all three categories but just did not had the time for it. So here i sad these days in between my sleep and work coloring on this cutie.

I really wanted to challenge myself en decided to go for my Zig markers instead of my Copic Markers. I medium i only used three or four times but i knew that the card i had in mind would look better in watercolors then with alcohol markers. I'm totally happy with my result!

So for my card i stamped the leaves, flowers and the fox on watercolor paper using Cement Grey hybrid ink. Colored in the images using my zig brush markers and my waterbrush. Die cut all the parts using the matching Die-Namics.

To make the wreath i used the (retired) Single stitched circle line Die-Namics as a base and arranged the leaves and flowers on the circle until it was a full wreath. Stamped the sentiment and die cut it with a banner die.

After the fox was colored with my brush markers i added some pencil to give the fox some extra detail.

Thanks for hopping by!

Greets, Marieke

My Favorite Things Superstar Contest 2019

Hallo all,

Well it is that time of the year again the yearly My Favorite Things Superstar Contest has started and the last two years i competed in the contest and even won one year! So i could not stay behind and try not to make a card this year (or even there is more cards in there who knows!). So here is my entry for the Innovation Master category...

Stamps: Beast Friends, Ready Set Snow, Interactive Labels. Dies: Beast Friends, Ready Set Snow, A2 Rectangle Stax, Stitched Clouds, Surf & Turf, Mountain High, Double Slider Loop Slots, A2 Rectangle Frames Paper: Smooth White and Cement Grey, Watercolor paper, Copic paper Ink: Mermaid Lagoon and Antique Linen Distress ink, Copic Markers, Memento Tuxedo black and Versafine onix black Extra: Shaker material, A2 shaker rectangle Shaker Pouch, Glossy Accent, White acrylic paint marker.

It turned out into a shaker / slider card. My first idea was to connect the slider on the shaker element so if you would pull the slider the shaker parts would fall down. I did not get that to work so ended up making a shaker with a slider element behind it.

First off i made the background panels using Distress inks, water and white acrylic paint marker. I blended them together and splattered water, ink and paint onto it. Cut the three pieces using the rectangle dies and the rectangle frames. Put these aside and cut a double folded white topfold card.

Die cut a white rectangle piece of cardstock and measured 1,5 cm of all sides. On the corners i partly die cut the double loop slider slots. Made two strips of plastic and attached this to the panel. I was now able to adhere the panels onto the moving mechanisme and test is out. Once it worked i glued it on the base card, but before i did that i heat embost the sentiments on top of the panels.I finished this part by adding a pull tab.

Now it's time to work on the shaker part. I glued the main panel on the base card and filled the shakerpouch with shaker material and glued it on the base panel. Then finished it of with the die cut strip.

When all the mechanismes worked it was time to start building on the scene. I die cut several shaped dies and measured them at the right seize. Glued the mountain, snow and clouds on the side panels. Colored all the images and die cut them with the matching dies part by part.

At last i did the middle part i stamped the sentiment and added the snow and cloud. under all the yeti's i added some Copic coloring to ground them. On the mountains i added some white geso.

Have a wonderful evening!

Greets, Marieke

September release and krafty hop!

Hello everyone!

And the day has come that the September Release by Kraftin' Kimmie stamps is available! Go quickly to the shop and make sure to buy all our new goodies!

For my hop card i decided to use the fun fall set by artist Cheryl Grant again, this time i used the other image and made a boot card! So first off i cut the shape out of white cardstock, the bottem and top i cut out of kraft paper.

For the middle and the top designpaper i used a Echo park paper from last year.

To complete my scene i die cut some grass and for the bottom i used the boot stencil again so i would know how low it had to go. Stamped the image and colored it up using my Copic Markers. Fussy cut the image and glued it together. To break the grass a bit i used some small leaves.

On the top of the card i used some larger leaves combined with some twine and acorns. I stamped the sentiment and die cut it. Adhered it to the boot and my card was finished.

Thanks for hopping by!

Greets, Marieke

Dies: Marianne Design grass CR1335, Leaf Doily LR0430, leaves stamp anything, Blueprint 27 Die-namics.
Extra: Twine, Dutch Doobadoo rainboot (470.713.619)
