I used the stencil and the structure paste to make the background complete. Masked it on some black paper and finished it off with a border of some black and white paper.
Stamped the bees and colored them using my Copic Markers, then i fussy cut them and glued them on the card using 3-d tape. I finished the wings with some wink of stella clear. Heat embossed the sentiment on some black cardstock and die cut it with the slanted sentiment strip. I used the die another time with designpapers and masked then onto the base of the card.

So here it is, my card for the Clean & Simple categorie for the superstar contest. Last year i was one of the winners in this categorie and i figured i could not let this categorie pass by. But i tell you it cost me some sleepless nights! But after two evening off holding every stamp and thinking out ideas i finaly figured something out. I tweaked it at my desk and ended up with this. And i'm really pleased with it!
Used products: Safari Friends and In Paris stamps, Blueprint 29 (rectangle die), Cement gray, Black Licorice and Tickled pink hybrid ink.
For the flowers i used the hearts in the In paris stampset i stamped them with Tickled pink and masked them off. The elephant i stamped with Cement Grey and masked off aswell. Then i made the grass and colored the rest is.
This was my sketch before i started on my card. This way i could see if i wanted the hearts out of the trunk or not. Originally i had a speech bubble in mind but i preferred the way i did it now!

It has started again, the My Favorite Things Superstar contest! I was a proud winner of the Clean and Simple categorie last year. So this time i decided to go with the innovation master categorie. And i can tell you it did not come easy! But i succeeded (at least thats what i think)! What inspired me for the card was the movie Rio were the birds party and swing the whole time.
Used MFT products: Toucan do it + matching Die-namics, Fireworks, Town bear, In paris, Die-Namics wonky banner, Die-Namics Blueprint 27, Die-Namics stitched rectangle a2 staxx, Die-Namics Volcano, Interactive label. Black licorice hybride ink, Razzle Berry/ Pineapple/ Limelight/ Summer Splash and Boysenberry cardstock.
Other products used: White and gold embossing powder, Versamark ink, White gelpen, Black twine, Wilted Violet, Broken China, Chipped Sapphire, Carved Pumpkin, Black Soot, Twisted Citron distress ink, Copic Markers, Black cardstock, orange cardstock, Crafters Companion Neenah crest white cardstock, mini action wobble, Tropical led lights/ Copper wire (Chibitronics) and a CR2016 battery.
First i stamped and mask the houses on some Neenah cardstock i colored them black using my 110 marker and made some windows yellow (as if there is someone awake) en the rest blue so i would have some dimension in the houses. I die cut the panel and fussy cut the top of the houses and colored the sidelines black.
Then i made the firework panel using distress ink and white embossing powder i added some extra white dots and stars using my white gelpen. This panel i die cut as well with the same size die and adhered them together so they would fit the largest die.
With all six different colors i die- cut the wonky banner and adhered those banners to a string of black twine. I took the wonky banners on purpose so the would give an extra intrest because of the different sizes and directions they point to.
Stamped the two birds using the Black Licorice ink and colored them in using my Copic Markers, die cut them with the matching dies and added some small touches with a white gel pen. I also added some Clear wink of Stella on the bandana's. I stamped the text using Versamark ink and heat embost it with gold embossing powder i ended up die cutting it with the banner out of blueprint 27.
Here is a little video with the card in action:
I die cut a black panel using the same size die as the front panel and made the Chibi tronic system on the panel. Die cut the pull tab from the Volacano die twice out of black cardstock. On one of them i heat embost "pull" with gold embossing powder. And adhered them to the panel. Put some 3-d tape on the panel en glued it to a top fold black card.
Then i adhered the firework panel on to the card. The banners were adhered to the panel using 3-d tape as well as the sentiment. I finished the card adding the birds on a action wobble in the middle of the card.
