My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #628

Hello all!

Today I am back again with a new Sketch Challenge by My Favorite Things. This week I decided to make a birthday card. Vandaag ben ik er weer met een nieuwe schets challenge van My Favorite Things. Deze keer maakte ik een verjaardags kaart

With the sketch of this week I first figured that I wanted a card with a border, than all of a sudden a thought that the sketch would be excellent to use with the A2 Rectangle Frames Die-Namics. The frame would be the border in a base card and I was aible to create a scene into it.

Met de schets van deze week, had ik eerst bedacht om de rand iets groter te maken om het midden heen. Toen bedacht ik ineens dat deze schets super geschikt is met de A2 Rectangle Frames Die-Namics. Het frame zit op een basiskaart daarmee heb je het randje en ik kon zo een leuke scene in de border maken.

First I cut a Princess Pink rectangle and masked off the outside. Inkblended Victiorian Velvet en Seedles Preserve Distress Oxide ink and splattered water and some gold paint. Die cut the Birch Trees Cover Up Die-Namics and adhered it in the middle of the Princess Pink rectangle. Sneed een Princess Pink recthhoek en maskeerde de randen. Inktblende Victorian Velvet en Seedles Preserve Distress Oxide ink en spetterde water and gouden verf. Stanste de Birch Trees Cover Up Die-Namics en plakte dit in het midden van de roze rechthoek.

Adhered the rectangle on a sidefold Smooth White base card. Out of Limelight I cut the Stitched Rolling Clouds Die-Namics and the Slimline Grassy Hills Die-Namics and inkblended some Mowed Lawn onto it. Adhered both on the card and the Smooth with border went on top of it. Plakte de rechthoek op een sidefold Smooth White basiskaart. Uit Limelight stanste ik de Stitched Rolling Clouds Die-Namics en de Slimeline Grassy Hills Die-Namics en inktblende deze met Mowed Lawn. Plakte beide op de kaart en daarna ging het Smooth White frame eroverheen.

Using different colors of cardstock and inks I made the house using the Gnome Place Like Home Die-Namics. Stamped the images using the Fairy Special and Fairy Best Friends stamps and there matching dies. Colored them up and added them to the cardbase. Finished the card of heat embossing the sentiment on some Princess Pink and trimmed it down to a banner. Uit verschillende kleuren cardstock en met inkten maakte ik het huis met de Gnome Place Like Home Die-Namics. Stempelde de afbeeldingen van de Fairy Special en Fairy Best Friends, kleurde ze in en stanste ze uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Plakte ze op de kaart en werkte de kaart af door de tekst te heat embossen op Princess Pink en het tot een banner te snijden.

My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #627

Today I am back again with a new Sketch Challenge by My Favorite Things. This week I decided to make aClean and Simple card. Vandaag ben ik er weer met een nieuwe schets challenge van My Favorite Things. Deze keer maakte ik een Clean en Simpel kaart

For this weeks sketch I decided to stick with the layout I only added a few images out of the Bear Hugs Stamp set and enemal dots to finish the card off.

Voor mijn schets van vandaag bleef ik bij de layout. Ik voegde alleen wat afbeeldingen uit de Bear Hugs stempel en enamel dots toe om de kaart compleet te maken.

Cut a Smooth White topfold basecard. Added strips of Sno Cone, Summer Splash and Caribbean Sea to the base to follow the sketch. Stamped and colored them images, die cut them using the Bear Hugs Die-namics.

Sneed een Smooth White topfold basiskaart. Sneed stroken uit Sno Cone, Summer Splash en Caribbean Sea voor de basis layout. Stempelde en kleurde de afbeeldingen, stannste ze daarna uit met de Bear Hugs Die-Namics.

Adhered them onto the card using foamtape. Heat set the sentiment out of the Itty Bitty Baby on some Black Licorice and trimmed it down using the Itty Bitty Strips Die-Namics. Finished the card of using different colors of enamel dots. Plakte de afbeeldingen op de kaart met foamtape. Heat emboste de tekst van de Itty Bitty Baby op Black Licorice en stanste het uit met de Itty Bitty Strips Die-Namics. Werkte de kaart af met verschillende kleuren enamel dots.

My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #619

 Hello all!

Today I am back again with a new Sketch Challenge by My Favorite Things. This week I decided to make another card using the Beast Friends . Vandaag ben ik er weer met een nieuwe schets challenge van My Favorite Things. Deze week maakte ik een kaart met de nieuwe Beast Friends.

So for this week sketch I did not swap around alot and stayed kinda true to the sketch, I just added a sentiment to it.

Voor de schets van deze week veranderde ik niets en bleef trouw aan de schets. Ik voegde alleen een sentiment toe.

Cut a Smooth White topfold cardbase, a Cement Gray rectangle slightly smaller and stamped the Snowflake Flurry Background onto it using Versamark ink. Die cut the Heart Rays Die-Namics out of Summer Splash and trimmed of a bit to match the sketch. Inked up the sides with a white ink and heat set the snowflakes.

Sneed een Smooth White topfold basiskaart, een Cement Gray recthhoek net iets kleiner en stempelde hierop de Snowflake Flurry Background met Versamark ink. Stanste de Heart Rays Die-Namics uit Summer Splash cardstock en sneed er een stuk af zodat hij klopte met de schets. Inkte de zijkanten met witte inkt en heat emboste de sneeuwvlokken.

Stamped the image, colored it up using my Copic markers and die cut it using the Beast Friends Die-Namics. Heat set a snowflake on some vellum and ide cut it. Heat set the sentiment out of the Cool Greetings on some Black Licorice and trimmed it to a banner. Stempelde de afbeelding, kleurde hem in met mijn Copic markers en stanste hem uit met de Beast Friends Die-Namics. Heat emboste de sneeuwvlok op vellum en stanste uit. Heat emboste de tekst uit de Cool Greetings op Black Licorice en sneed het tot een banner.

My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #561

 Hello all!

Today I am back again with a new Sketch Challenge by My Favorite Things. This week I decided to make a Spooky card that can be used for Halloween or for a Birthday! Vandaag ben ik er weer met een nieuwe schets challenge van My Favorite Things. Deze week maakte ik een spookachtige kaart, die je zowel voor Halloween als voor een verjaardag kunt gebruiken.

For the sketch of this week I decided to stick with the current style and did not add, flipped or swapped anything.

Voor de schets van deze week besloot ik trouw te blijven aan zoals hij is en voegde dus niets toe, draaide of verplaatste niets.

Cut a Black Licorice rectangle and added that onto a Smooth White topfold base card. Cut a watercolor rectangle and inkblended some Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet and Black Soot Distress ink. Splattered some water and black paint and cut a strip of pattern paper that went behind it. Cut a vellum cirkle and glued that on to the inkblended cardbase.

Sneed een Black Licorice rechthoek en plakte deze op een Smooth White topfold basiskaart. Sneed een aquarel rechthoek en inktblende hierop Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet en Black Soot Distress inkt. Spetterde water en zwarte verf. Sneed een strip designpapier en plakte dit erachter. Stanste een vellum cirkel en plakte alles op de kaart.

Stamped the sentiment on some Smooth White and cut it into a banner. Stamped the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Die-Namics. Added both to the card and finished of using some orange enamel dots. Stempelde de tekst op Smooth White en stanste het tot een banner. Stempelde de afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Plakte alles op de kaart en werkte het geheel af met oranje enamel dots.

Black - N8, N6, N4, N3

White - C3, C1, C00, 0

Bandage - W5, W3, W1, W00, 0

Pink - R20

My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #549

Hello all!

Today i'm back again with a new Sketch Challenge by My Favorite Things. This week i decided to make a Birthday card just because i always seem to have a shortage of Birthday cards. Vandaag ben ik er weer met een nieuwe schets challenge van My Favorite Things. Deze week maakte ik een verjaardagkaart op één of andere manier lijkt ik er altijd te kort te komen!

Totally love the new Bunch of Happiness stamp so when i saw this sketch i knew i was going to use the fun pineapple for it.

Vind de nieuwe Bunch of Happiness stempel helemaal leuk, kon het daarom ook niet laten om de ananas te gebruiken voor de schets van deze week.

So cut a Smooth White topfold card, splattered some balck paint on it. Cut a strip of Limelight cardstock and a strip of the Black & White pattern paper pad. Added this in the middle of the card.

Sneed een Smooth White topfold basiskaart, spetterde er wat zwarte verf op. Sneed een strook Limelight cardstock en een strook van het Black & White designpapier. Plakte het geheel in het midden van de kaart.

Stamped the stamp, colored it up using my copic markers and die cut it using the matching Die-Namics. Die cut a wonky circkle and added some Salty Ocean. Heat set the sentiment and cut it into a smaller strip. Stempelde de stempel, kleurde hem in met mijn Copic markers en stanste het uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Stanste een Smooth White wonky cirkel en bracht er wat Salty Ocean op aan. Heat emboste de tekst op Black Licorice cardstock en stanste het tot een smalle strip.

My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #486

Hello all!

Today i'm back again with a new Sketch Challenge by My Favorite Things. This week i decided to play with some images by Stacey Yakula. Vandaag ben ik er weer met een nieuwe schets challenge van My Favorite Things. Deze week speelde ik met de stempels van Stacey Yakula

I swapped this weeks sketch so the bottom part would be up instead of down. Ik draaide de schets zodat de onderkant boven kwam. 

The base is a topfold white cardbase 10,5 x 13,5. Out of stamping paper i cut a rectangle and ink blended the grassy hill and sky onto it, splattered some water for some extra detail. De basiskaart is een witte topfold kaart 10,5 x 13,5. Uit stempelpapier stanste ik een rechthoek en blende er de grasheuvel en de lucht op, spetterde er water op voor wat extra detail. 

Out of limelight cardstock i cut the part on the top and bottem using the Grassy Hills Die-Namics. Added some Distress ink to it to give it some extra detail. Uit Limelight cardstock stanste ik de boven en onderkant van de kaart met de Grassy Hills Die-Namics. Bracht er Distress inkt op aan voor wat extra textuur.

Stamped all the images and colored them up using my Copic markers. Die cut them using the matching Die-Namics and adhered the clouds and trees to the scene. Stempelde all afbeeldingen en kleurde ze in met mijn Copic Markers, cut them using the matching Die-Namics. Plakte de bomen en wolken op de scene.

Die cut the swing out of Kraft and Cement Grey cardstock and made them into one. Adhered the piggie on to it and adhered it to the card. Cut the rectangle frame out of Smooth White cardstock placed it on the card. Let the flowers peek out of the frame. Stanste de schommel uit Kraft en Cement Grey cardstock en maakte er één van. Plakte het varkentje op de schommel en daarna op de kaart. Stanste het rechthoekige frame uit Smooth White cardstock en plaatste dit op de kaart, de bloemen liet ik ander het frame uit steken. 

Heat embost the sentiment on some Steel Grey Cardstock and cut it using a banner die. Adhered the "tree leaves" to the card and finished of with the flaggs. Heat embosste de tekst op Steel Grey cardstock en stanste het uit met een banner stans. Plakte de bovenkant op de kaart en als laatste gingen daar de vlaggen op.

Big Announcement *does a happy dance*

Hello all!

I'm so, so, so, so super proud and excited to share with you today that as of this month i'm one of the new members of the My Favorite Things Designteam! I am so honored to be joining them and beyond excited! (is it noticeble ;)) Ik ben zo super duber uber trost en enthousiast om met jullie te delen dat ik vanaf deze maand deel mag nemen aan het team van My Favorite Things! Ik ben zo vereerd dat ze mij in het team van dit hele gave merk wilde hebben. Ik doe nog bijna iedere dag een happydance sinds ze mij benaderde. 

Ofcourse a card using a few of there amazing products could not be missing on this post so here you go! Uiteraard mocht een voorbeeld kaart met een aantal van hun geweldige producten niet ontbreken, dus hier is hij dan.

The base of my card is a topfold card 10 x 13 i glued a designpaper panel on to it in the same seize. De basis of de kaart is een topfold kaart 10 x 13, ik plakte op de voorzijde designpapier in dezelfde maat.

Out of Smooth White cardstock i cut a white panel 9,5 x 12,5 and cut the shape out of the middle of the card. On a panel i ink the clouds using Distress ink. I cut some clouds using Smooth with and glue the cloud behind the panel using foamtape. Then i glue the clouds behind it using another layer of foamtape to get some dimension. Uit Smooth White cardstock snijd ik een rechthoek 9,5 x 12,5 en stans de vorm uit het paneel. Uit hetzelfde cardstock stans ik een wolk en plak dit achter de rechthoek met 3-d tape. Maak de wolken met Distress inkt op een stuk cardstock en plak dit daar weer achter met nog een laag 3-d tape.

I stamp the images using my Extreme black and color them in using my Copic Markers, cut them using the matching Die-Namics. On the horn of the unicorn i add some golden stickles. On the wings and rainbow i add a layer Wink of Stella. Stempel de afbeeldingen met Extreme black en kleur ze in met mijn Copic Markers, stans ze uit met bijbehorende stansen. Op de hoorn van de eenhoorn doe ik wat gouden stickles en op de vleugels doe ik een laagje wink of stella.

Stamp the sentiment on some Black Licorice cardstock and heat embos it with golden embossing powder. Cut it using a banner die and add it to the panel. Stempel de tekst op Black Licorice cardstock en heat embos het met goud embossingpoeder. Stans het uit met een banner stans en voeg het toe.
