My Favorite Things - Color Challenge #147

Hello all!

Today i'm here with a new Color Challenge by My Favorite Things. This week i decided to go for a fall card because i thought this color sceme was really fitting for that. Vandaag ben ik er met een nieuwe kleuren challenge van My Favorite Things. Voor deze week heb ik een herfst kaart ik vond dat het kleurenschema van deze week er mooi bij paste. 

 Cut a topfold Whip Cream card base and cut a circle out of the front of the card. Added some Vintage Photo Distress ink and mixed some Milk Chocolate with water and splattered on the front of the card.

 Sneed een topfold Whip Cream basiskaart en stanste een cirkel uit de voorkant van de kaart. Bracht wat Vintage Photo Distress inkt aan en mixte Milk Chocolate met water en spetterde spetters aan de voorzijde van de kaart.

 Cut the wreath two times out Lemon Drop and two times out of Persimmon. Cut the Persimmon and the one Lemon Drop in pieces and glued them onto the Lemon Drop one that is still intact. So two Persimmon leaves then one Lemon Drop and continue this until the wreath is done. Stanste de wreath twee keer uit Lemon drop en twee keer uit Persimmon. Knipte de blaadjes van de Persimmon en één Lemon Drop los en plakte deze op de Lemon Drop wreath die heel is. Twee Persimmon blaadjes dan een Lemon Drop vervolg dit tot de wreath klaar is.

 Stamped the Acorn, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Die-Namics. Heat embost the sentiment on a die cut Milk Chocolate circle and added that on the inside of the card. Stempelde de eikels, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Heat emboste de tekst op een uitgestanste Milk Chocolate cirkel en plakte deze aan de binnenzijde van de kaart.

MFT & Friends - August Product Launch

Hello all,

It’s time for the My Favorite Things August product launch! All new products are available right now! The MFT design team, as well as special guests, are sharing projects created with the new stuff. You can find a lot of inspiration! Het is tijd voor de My Favorite Things augustus product lancering. Alle nieuwe producten zijn vanaf nu verkrijgbaar! Het MFT design team en gasten delen ook vandaag weer een lading aan inspiratie!

I think the most excited part about this release are the new slimline products! So i could not resist making a card using them. Ik denk dat de meest leuke toevoeging deze release de slimline producten zijn. Ik kon daarom de verleiding niet weerstaan er mee aan de slag te gaan.

So i started making the background using Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac and Black Soot Oxide ink, splattered some black paint and set it to dry. Cut it using the new slimline frame and heat embost the sentiment onto it. Maakte eerste de achtergrond met Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac en Black Soot Oxide inkt, spetterde zwarte verf en liet het drogen. Stanste het uit met de nieuwe slimline stans en heat emboste de tekst op de kaart.

Stamped all the images, colored them up and cut the using the matching Die-Namics. Cut the ghost out of vellum and stamped the faces on to them. Heat embost the sentiments on to the gravestones. Cut the grass and the Fence and added so Mossy Meadow for some depth. Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in en stanste ze met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Stanste de spoken uit vellum en stempelde de gezichten. Heat emboste de teksten op de grafstenen. Stanste het gras en het hekwerk en bewerkte het gras met Mossy Meadow Distress inkt.

Glued Everything on the card and decided to add some bats in the back using Extreme Black. Glued the whole panel on to a topfold Smooth White cardstock. Plakte alles op de basis en besloot om op de achtergrond nog wat vleermuizen toe te voegen met Extreme Black. Plakte het paneel op een Smooth White topfold basiskaart.

My Favorite Things August Release Countdown Day 1

Hello all,

Today is the last day of the August release countdown of My Favorite Things and you know what that means right? Tommorow all the new products will be avaible! Did you decided on what you are going to get? Luckly you have one more night to think about it! Vandaag is de laatste dag van de augustus release countdown van My Favorite Things en je weet wat dat betekend! Morgen zullen alle nieuwe producten beschikbaar zijn. Heb je al besloten wat je zou willen hebben? Gelukkig kun je er nog een dag over nadenken!

For today's card i played with the Halloween Hoo stamp and matching Die-Namics. I Turned my card into a playful design.

Voor mijn inspiratie kaart van vandaag gebruikte ik de Halloween Hoo stempel met bijpassende Die-Namics. Ik maakte de met de set een grappige kaart.

I started making a background using Fossilized Amber, Peeled Paint, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress ink. Splattered some water, white paint and black paint and cut it out using a rectangle die. Made the moon using Stormy Sky and Distressed Patterns stamp. Glued the panel onto a topfold Smooth White cardbase. Ik maakte de achtergrond met Fossilized Amber, Peeled Paint, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress inkt. Spetterde er water, witte verf en zwarte verf op. Maakte de maan met Stormt Sky en de Distressed Patterns stempel. Plakte het paneel op een witte topfold Smooth White basis kaart. 

Stamped the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut the using the matching Die-Namics. Heat embost the sentiment and cut it using the Skinny Strips Die-Namics. Finished of the card using some stars i die cut out of silver sparkle cardstock. Stempelde de afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met bijbehorende stansen. Heat emboste de tekst en stanste uit met de Skinny Strips Die-Namics. Werkte de kaart af met wat sterren die ik uit zilver glitter cardstock stanste.

My Favorite Things August Release Countdown Day 2

The release day of the August release by My Favorite Things is getting closer! It's still pack full of new stuff so make sure you don't miss anything.  For today's card i went slimline and interactive! Using the new slimline dies in combination with the fun Boo Crew stamps! Voor de inspiratiekaart van vandaag maakte ik een slimline kaart in combinatie met een interactieve. Ik gebruikte daarvoor de nieuwe slimline stansen in combinatie met de Boo Crew stempels.

 First i made a topfold base card out of Black Licorice it's a big one (8 x 4 inch) but will fit in a C6 envelop. I set this aside and cut a panel of Aquarel paper in the same seize. I made the background using Distress ink, you can find a tutorial over here. Sneed een topfold basis kaart uit Black Licorice. Het is een grote (8 x 4 inch) maar past in een C6 envelop, Legde deze aan de kant en sneed een rechthoek uit aquarel papier in dezelfde maat. Maakte de achtergrond met Distress inkt, een tutorial kun je hier vinden.

 After i made the nightsky i started on the haunted house. I cut it twice out of Whip Cream Cardstock, and once out of Steel Grey. On the whip cream houses i added some Vintage Photo and Black Soot Distress ink. Mixed some Black Soot with water for some detail. Cut out the window out of the second Whip Cream House and did the same as with the house. Cut the roof and the top of the chimney and added some Black Soot. Glued Everything together and added some vellum on the back. Na het maken van de achtergrond startte ik met het Haunted House. Stanste het huis twee keer uit Whip Cream en één keer uit Steel Grey. Op het Whip Cream huis bracht ik Vintage photo en Black Soot Distress inkt aan. Mixte Black Soot met water en spetterde deze op het huis. Stanste het raam uit het tweede huis en herhaalde de stappen. Sneed het dak en het puntje van de schoorsteen uit het grijze huis en bewerkte dit met Black Soot. Plakte alles op elkaar en plakte wat vellum aan de achterzijde.

 I was aible to start on the lightning mechanisme. Karolyn made a really great Tutorial on how to work with the easy light pack by Pear Blossom you can find her tutorial over here. I followed the exact same steps for my card. I stamped the "Press" word on the moon, that is were the light switch is. Ik kon nu beginnen met de het licht mechanisme. Karolyn maakte een super tutorial hoe je met de easy light pack van Pear Blossom makkelijk een kaart maakte je kunt de tutorial hier vinden. Ik stempelde het woord "press" op de maan daaronder zit het lichtknopje.

Die cut the fog pieces (Smooth White), the tree (Milk Chocolate), fence (Steel Grey), grass ( Gumdrop Green) and cut a strip of kraft paper. Added some details using Distress ink and finished of the scene. Stanste de mistwolken, de boom, het hek, het gras en een strip van kraft papier. Voegde wat detail toe met Distress inkt.

Stamped the images on some Copic friendly paper, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the mathcing Die-Namics. Added them to the card and finished the card of with a heat embost sentiment. Stempelde de afbeeldingen op Copic vriendelijk papier, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met bijbehorende stansen. Plakte ze op de kaart en werkte de kaart af met een heat ge-emboste tekst.

My Favorite Things August Release Countdown Day 3

Welcome to day three of the August release countdown by My Favorite Things, we are halfway there! So hop along for more beautiful inspiration by the team. Welkom bij dag drie van de augustus release countdown van My Favorite Things, we zijn halverwege! Hop gezellig mee langs alle design team leden voor meer inspiratie.

Today i went a bit out of my comfort zone to use the All lined up diagonally background stamp into a background for the images out of the Happy Campers set. Vandaag maakte ik een kaart die wat uit mijn comfort zone is doordat ik de All Lined Up Diagonally Background stempel als achtergrond gebruikte voor de dieren uit de Happy Camper stempel.

Heat embost the background stamp onto a piece of watercolor paper and cut it using the A2 stitched rectangle stax. Colored it up using three different colors of the My Favorite Things premium Dye inks. Glued the panel onto a kraft topfold basecard that is just a bit bigger. Heatemboste de achtergrond op een stuk aquarel papier en stanste het uit met de A2 stitched rectangle stax. Kleurde het paneel in met drie verschillende kleuren Dye ink van My Favorite Things. Plakte het paneel op een topfold kraft basiskaart dat net iets groter is dan het paneel.

Stamped all the images, colored them up using my Copic Markers and Cut them out using the matching Die-Namics. Placed them on the card using different heights of foamtape. Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Plakte alles op met verschillende hoogtes foamtape.

Heat embost the sentiment on some kraft cardstock and cut it using the Skinny Strips Die-Namics. Cut the clouds out of Smooth White cardstock and finished of the card. Heat emboste de tekst op kraft cardstock en stanste het uit met Skinny Strips Die-Namics. Stanste de wolken uit Smooth White cardstock en werkte de kaart af.

My Favorite Things August Release Countdown Day 4

One day closer to the August release by My Favorite Things! Only four more days to go until the August release will be avaible! Dag 4 van de My Favorite Things augustus release countdown is hier, dat betekend dat het nu nog maar vier dagen duurt voordat de nieuwe release verkrijgbaar is!

 For my inspriation card for this countdown day i used the new stamp Autumn Blessing with matching Die-Namics in combination with the Lots of Leaves Cover up Die-Namics.Voor mijn inspiratie kaart gebruikte ik de nieuwe stempel en bijpassende Die-Namics Autumn Greetings in combinatie met de Lots of Leaves Cover up Die-Namics.

On a piece of aquarelpaper i added the colors Wild Honey, Bundle Sage and Fired Brick Distress ink. Splatered some water and some white paint on to it for some detail. Die cut it using the cover up Die-Namics, dit cut it another three times out of Smooth white cardstock. Glued them together to make it into one frame. Op aquarel papier blende ik Wild Honey, Bundle Sage en Fired Brick Distress inkt, spetterde er water en witte verf op en stanste het uit met de Cover up Die-Namics. Stanste de Cover up nogmaals drie keer uit Smooth white en plakte alles op elkaar.

Cut a piece of Smooth White cardstock and blended in some Vintage Photo Distress ink. Mixed some Vintage Photo with water and splattered on to the panel. Glued the panel behind the Cover up and adhered everything on to a topfold a2 Smooth White cardbase. Sneed een recthoek uit Smooth White cardstock en blende er Vintage Photo Distress inkt op. Mixte Vintage Photo met water en spetterde op het paneel. Plakte het rechthoek achter de Cover up en plakte het geheel op een Smooth White a2 topfold basiskaart.

Stamped the imgages using Milk Chocolate and colored them up using my Copic markers. Die Cut them using the matching Die-Namics and added them to the card. Finished the card of by stamping the sentiment on the cardbase. Stempelde de afbeeldingen met Milk Chocolate en kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers. Stanste ze uit met de bijbehorende Die-Namics en plakte ze op de kaart. Als laatste stempelde ik de tekst op de basiskaart.

My Favorite Things August Release Countdown Day 5

Hello all,

It’s time for the My FavoriteThings August release countdown! During the countdown, the MFT Design Team is sharing lots of projects featuring all of the new products. The new release will officially be available on August 11th at 10:00 am EST (= Europe: August 11th at 4:00 pm CET). Het is tijd voor de My Favorite Things augustus release countdown! Nog 5 dagen en dan is de nieuwe release verkrijgbaar. Tijdens de countdown, laat het MFT Design Team verschillende projecten zien met alle nieuwe producten. De release zal verkrijgbaar zijn op 11 augustus om 10:00 am EST (in Nederland op 11 augustus om 16:00)

For my first project i decided to play with the Adorable Adventures with the matching Die-Namics. Voor mijn eerste kaart gebruikte ik de Adorable Adventures met de matchende Die-Namics.

Cut a topfold Blu Raspberry a2 seize. Out of Kraft, Sour Apple and Smooth White cardstock, i cut the clouds, sand and grass. Sneed een topfold Blue Raspberry a2 kaart. Uit kraft, Sour Apple en Smooth White cardstock stanste ik de wolken, zand en het grass.

Stamped all the images on Copic friendly paper, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them out using the matching Die-Namics. On the signpost i heat embost the sentiments. Stempelde alle afbeeldingen op Copic vriendelijke papier, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze het uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics. Op de wegwijzer heat emboste ik de teksten.

Heat embost the sentiment on some Red Hot cardstock and cut it out with a banner die. Heat embostte de tekst op Red Hot cardstock en stanste het uit met een banner stans.
