My Favorite Things Hits & Highlights

Hello all,

Today i'm back with a project for My Favorite Things, today it's time for the Hits & Hightlights. The team inspires you with projects featuring a specific theme or products. Today we are showcasing products avaible in the Beach, Sea and Summer categorie. Vandaag ben ik er weer met een project voor My Favorite Things, vandaag is het tijd voor een Hits & Highlights. Het designteam inspireert jullie met een specifiek thema of product. Vandaag laten we de veelzijdigheid zijn producten in de Stand, zee en zomer Categorie.

 So i went for a big slim line card this time around, it's 8 x 8 inch scored at 4 inch obviously. I inkblended the background using Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Chipped Saphire and Black Soot Distress ink. Splattered some water and then added the rays using a stencil and Peacock Feathers Distress ink. Ik maakte een slim line kaart, een grote voor mijn doen hij is 8 x 8 inch gescoord op 4 inch (duh). Blende de ocean met Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Chipped Saphire and Black Soot Distress inkt. Spetterde er wat water op en voegde de stralen toe met een stencil en Peacock Feathers Distress inkt.

 Die cut the Shark, seaweed, coral, rocks and bottom using different colors of cardstock. Added some texture on to a few of them using my Copic markers and Distress ink. Stanste uit verschillende kleuren cardstock de haai, zeewier, koraal, stenen en de bodem. Bewerkte enkele met mijn Copic markers of Distress inkt.

Die cut the letters to make them for "Daddy shark and I love you" Glued them on the base card and added the other sentiment using Extreme black. Die cut a heart and added to give the sentiment just a little bit more. Stanste de letters zodat ik de zinnen "Daddy Shark en I love you" kon maken, plakte ze vervolgens op de kaart. Stempelde de andere teksten er onder met Extreme black inkt.

My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #495

Hello all!

Today i'm back again with a new Sketch Challenge by My Favorite Things. This week i decided to play with the fun Reindeer Games stamp. Vandaag ben ik er weer met een nieuwe schets challenge van My Favorite Things. Deze week speelde ik met de leuke Reindeer Games stempel.

 This week i decided just to go with the sketch i like the three bars on the bottom so i sticked with it. Deze week besloot ik bij de schets te blijven ik vind de strepen onderin super leuk en mede daarom bleef ik trouw aan de schets.

Started with a Kraft topfold cardbase 10,5 x 13,5 and added some white trees onto it using a stencil and white ink. Added some white ink splatters and let it dry aside. Cut a panel of designpaper (9,5 x 5,5) and a piece of snow and adhered them together. Sneed een topfold kraft basiskaart 10,5 x 13,5 en bewerkte de voorzijde met witte inkt en een stencil. Spetterde er witte verf op en liet het drogen. Sneed een strook designpapier (9,5 x 5,5) en een strook sneeuw en plakte dit op elkaar.

Stamped the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and die cut them using matching Die-Namics. Heat embost the snowflakes on vellum, cut them using the matching Die-Namics and added a enamel dot. Stempelde de afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met de bijbehorende Die-Namics. Heat emboste de sneewvlok op vellum, stanste uit met de bijpassende Die-Namics en voegde een enamel dot toe.

On a piece of cardstock i heat embost the sentiment but seperated from eachother. Cut them using a banner die and added them to the cardbase. Op een stuk rood cardstock heat emboste ik de teksten los van elkaar en gebruikte een banner stans om er drie strepen van te maken. Plakte deze op en kon de rest van de kaart in elkaar zetten.

My Favorite Things Mid-June Flower release

Hello all,

The day has finally come that the Mid-June Flower release by My Favorite Things is avaible! What do you think is it beautiful or what? So what is ending up in your shopping cart? Watch your budget but have fun shopping! De dag is aangebroken dat de mid-juni bloemen release van My Favorite Things verkrijgbaar is! En wat vond je ervan schitterend toch? Welke stempels belanden bij jou in het mandje? Let op je budget maar heb vooral plezier met winkelen!

I could not decided for wich stamp to go for now, so i picked another single flower stamp called; Lavish Lilies. Lastige keuze voor welke stempel ik ditmaal zou gaan maar na een lang beraad met mezelf besloot ik voor een losse bloemen stempel te gaan; Lavish Lilies.

To practice my pencil coloring (i think they are still scary) i colored the Lilies up with my Polychromos. Stamped the Lilies a few time using my Versamark embossing ink on some Naturel cardstock and colored the image up. Om het kleuren mijn mijn Polychromos te oefenen (ik vind potloden nog steeds wel een dingetje...) stempelde ik de Lilies met Versamark embosing inkt verschillende keren op Naturel cardstock en kleurde ze in.

Die cut the colored image using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Stax Die-Namics. On the bottom of the card i heat embost the sentiment using white embossing powder and added some twine. Adhered the panel to a topfold white cardbase. (10,7 x 14 cm) Stanste het geheel met de Wonky Stitched Rectangle Stax Die-Namics. Aan de onderzijde heat emboste ik de tekst met wit embossing poeder en voegde wat twine toe. Plakte het geheel op een Smooth White topflold basiskaart 10,7 x 14.

Heat embost the sentiment on some Black Licorice cardstock and made my own tag using the small banner out of Blueprints 33 Die-Namics and my Crop a dile. Finished of the card using different seized of clear sequins. Heat emboste de tekst op Black Licorice cardstock en maakte mijn eigen tag door gebruik te maken van de kleine banner uit Blueprints 33 Die-Namics en mijn Crop a dile. Werkte de kaart af met verschillende maten sequins.

My Favorite Things June Flower release countdown day 1

Hello all,

One more day to go and the mid-June flower release by My Favorite Things will be avaible! Remeber tomorrow at 10:00 am EST you can buy them in the online store. Nog één dag te gaan en dan is de mid-juni bloemen release van My Favorite Things beschikbaar! Denk je eraan morgen om 16:00 is de release beschikbaar in de online winkel.

 On the last day we are showing you two more background stamps and one single stamp. I combined the Harmonious Hibiscus Background stamp together with the Fine-Lined Floral stamp. 

Op deze laatste dag laten we wederom twee achtergrond stempels zien en één losse stempel. Voor mijn inpiratie kaart combineerde ik de Harmonious Hibiscus stempel met de Fine-Lined Floral stempel.

 Cut a big Smooth White panel 15 x 15 cm and stamped the background stamp on top of it using Extreme Black ink. Cut the panel down to 10,2 x 13,3 cm. Mixed some Peeled Paint Distress ink with water and Splattered them on the cardbase. Glued the panel on a Steel Grey cardbase in the same seize. Sneed een stuk Smooth White vierkant van 15 x 15 cm en stempelde de achtergrond hier op met Extreme Black. Sneed het vierkant kleiner naar een rechthoek van 1-,2 x 13,3 cm. Mixte Peeled Paint met water en spetterde dit op de rechthoek. Plakte het paneel op een topfold Steel Grey basiskaart in dezelfde maat als de rechthoek.

On some Steel Grey cardstock i heat embost the sentiment using white embossing powder and cut it using the Stitched Circle stax Die-Namics. After adding the flowers i added the sentiment using foamtape and finished of using some green enamel dots. Op Steel Grey cardstock heat emboste ik de tekst met wit embossingpoeder en stanste het uit met een cirkel uit de Stitched Circle stax Die-Namics. Nadat de bloemen er op geplakt werden plakte ik de cirkel met foamtape op de kaart en werkte het af met groene enemal dots.

Stamped the flowers on some Copic friendly paper and colored them up using my Copic markers. Like with my Magnolia card, because they are rubber stamps you either cut them with a machine or like i did by hand. Glued them on the card using foamtape. Stempelde de bloemen op Copic vriendelijk papier en kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers. Net zoals bij de Magnolia kaart, omdat het rubber stempels zijn zal je ze met een machine of net als ik met de hand uit moeten knippen. Plakte ze daarna met foamtape op de kaart.

Red - R29, R17, R14, R12

Green - YG67, YG63, YG03

Black - N7, N5

My Favorite Things June Flower release countdown day 2

Hello all,

Today we are one day closer to the mid-June flower release by My Favorite Things. Today we have another day packfull of gorgues flowers. Vandaag zijn we weer een dag dichter bij de mid-juni bloemen release van My Favorite Things. Ook vandaag hebben we weer een aantal schitterende bloemen stempels voor jullie.

 Like yesterday we had two background stamps and two loose flower stamps to show you. Unlike my yesterday's card today i'm using on off the background stamp called; Floating Petals. Net als gisteren hebben we ook vandaag twee achtergrond stempels en twee losse bloemen stempels. In tegenstelling tot de kaart van gisteren gebruik ik vandaag een achtergrond stempel.

To make it even more interesting i made two similair cards using two different color combinations. So both cards have a topfold Smooth White cardbase 13 x 10,2. Out of white and kraft cardstock i cut a panel 9,6 x 12,4. On the white cardbase i stamped the background using Kraft ink. On the kraft panel i heat embost the background using white embossing powder. Om het vandaag wat interessanter te maken maakte ik twee kaarten die het zelfde zijn alleen dan in een ander kleuren pallet. Beide kaarten hebben een witte topfold basiskaart 13 x 10,2 cm. Uit wit en kraft cardstock sneed ik rechthoek 9,6 x 12,4. Op de witte rechthoek stempelde ik de achtergrond met Kraft ink. Op de kraft rechthoek heat emboste ik de achtergrond.

Cut both panels using the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges Die-Namics +/- 2,2 cm on the outside. Added some Vintage Photo Distress ink on the side to give it some depth. Added the panel to the base card using foam tape. Sneed beide panelen aan de onderkant met de Stitched Scallop Basic Edges Die-Namics op +/- 2,2 cm aan de buitenzijde. Bracht wat Vintage Photo Distress inkt aan om wat diepte te creëren. Plakte het paneel op de basis kaart met foamtape.

Out of gold cardstock i cut the word "hello" twice, out of vellum i cut the outline twice and glued them together. I cut the word "hello" another six times out of scraps and cut them on the other side of the vellum so my word die wouls have some depth. Uit goud cardstock stanste ik twee keer het woord "hello", uit vellum twee keer de achtergrond en plakte ze op elkaar. Stanste het woord "hello" nog zes keer uit restjes en plakte dit aan de achterkant van het vellum zodat het wat hoogte heeft wanneer ik het op plak.

Heat embost the sentiments on some black cardstock and cut it using a banner die. I added some sequins and clear drops on the cards on the same spot. Heat emboste de teksten op zwart cardstock en stanste het uit met een banner stans. Op de kaarten voegde ik wat sequins en cleardrops toe op beide kaarten op dezelfde plek.

My Favorite Things June Flower release countdown day 3

Hello all,

Today we are kicking of with a amazing mid-June release by My Favorite Things that is all about flowers! And i can tell you there will be alot of flowers, so i can't wait to hear what is going to be on your wishlist. This release will be avaible Tuesday June 23rd at 10:00 am EST. Vandaag starten we met een super leuke mid-juni release van My Favorite Things en het zijn alleen maar bloemen! Er zullen heel veel verschillende bloemen zijn n ben benieuwd welke er op jou wensenlijst komen. De release zal beschikbaar zijn op dinsdag 23 juni om 16:00.

 So for today there will be two background stamps and two different flowers and one of them is the Magnolia Blossoms i'm showing you today. Voor vandaag zijn er twee nieuwe achtergrond stempels en twee verschillende bloemen waaronder deze Magnolia Blossoms die ik jullie vandaag laat zien.

For this card i cut a topfold Grout Gray cardbase 10,2 x 13,3 and splattered some black paint on to it. Die cut the Mistletoe Cover up Die-Namics out of Smooth White cardstock and glued it on top of it. Voor mijn kaart sneed ik een topfold Grout Gray basiskaart van 10,2 x 13,3 en spetterde er zwarte inkt op. Uit Smooth White cardstock stanste ik de Mistletoe Cover up Die-Namics en plakte deze op de basis kaart.

 Stamped the flowers using Extreme black on Copic friendly paper and colored the flowers in using my Copic markers. As the stamps are rubber you need a machine to cut them for you or cut them by hand like i did. Added them on the panel using foamtape. Stempelde de bleomen met Extreme Black op Copic vriendelijk papier en kleurde de bloemen in met mijn Copic markers. Doordat het rubberstempels zijn zal je ze dus met een machine uit moeten snijden of met de hand zoals ik gedaan heb. Plakte de bloemen op de kaart met foamtape.

Heat embost the sentiment on some Grout Gray cardstock and cut it using a banner die. Added it to the panel and finished the card of using different seizes of sequins. Heat emboste de tekst op Grout Gray cardstock en stanste het uit met een banner stans. Plakte de banner op de kaart en bewerkte het geheel met verschillende maten sequins.

Kraftin' Kimmie Saturday Challenge - Use a Stencil

Hallo allemaal / Hello everybody!

Today it's Saturday wich means a new challenge started over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Blog, today the theme is make a card or project that involves a stencil. You can go every route with this so get your stamps, ink and stencils out and play along. Vandaag is het zaterdag dat betekend dat er een nieuwe challenge begonnen is op het blog van Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Het thema van deze week is maak een kaart waarbij je een stencil gebruikt. Je kunt er alle kanten mee op dus pak je stempels, inkten en stencils en speel mee!

 For my card i decided to play with the newly released Turtley Awesome. Totally love the turtle with the watermelon so i Stamped him up, colored him up using my Copic Markers and cut him out. Die cut the word "Hello" four times and the outline out of vellum. Glued one "Hello" on the front of the vellum and the other three behind so it has some height. Voor mijn kaart van vandaag besloot ik de nieuwe Turtley Awesome te gebruiken. Ik vind de schildpad met de watermeloen helemaal leuk. Stempelde deze, kleurde hem in met mijn Copic markers en knipte hem uit. Stanste het woord "Hello" vier keer uit wit cardstock en de outline één keer uit vellum. Plakte "Hello" aan de voorzijde en drie stuks aan de achterkant voor wat hoogte

For my background i inked up a panel using Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick and Candied Apple. Splattered some water on it and splattered some black ink. Using the Rainy Day Stencil i added some Transfer paste let it dry and hot foiled it. Added it on a scalloped with rectangle and that went on a green topfold cardbase. Heat set the sentiment and added it on the panel. Met Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick en Candied Apple Distress ink maakte ik de achtergrond, spetterde er water op en zwarte verfspetters. Met transfer pasta en het Rainy Day Stencil bracht ik de "zaden" aan en hot foilde de achtergrond. Plakte deze op een geschubte witte achtergrond en groene basiskaart. Op het zelfde kleur cardstock heat emboste ik de tekst.

My Favorite Things - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #494

Hello all!

Today i'm back again with a new Sketch Challenge by My Favorite Things. This week i decided to play with the fun Secret Santa stamp. Vandaag ben ik er weer met een nieuwe schets challenge van My Favorite Things. Deze week speelde ik met de leuke Secret Santa stempel.

 This week i stayed true to the sketch and just moved the sentiment a bit because it would fit better like that. Deze week bleef ik vrij trouw aan de schets ik schoof alleen de tekst wat naar beneden omdat het geheel beter paste zoals het nu is.

Cut a Smooth White topfold cardbase 14 x 11. Added the Oval Extraordinaire stencil in the middle of the panel and added some Peacock Feather Distress Oxide to it and splattered some white paint. Removed the stencil and used the inner part to mask of the oval. Using the Peace, love and joy stencil i added the text using Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink.

 Sneed een Smooth white topfold kaart 11 x 14 cm. Legde het Oval Extraordinaire in het midden van de kaart en bracht Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink aan en spetterde met witte verf. Verwijderde het stencil en gebruikte de andere kant om het ovaal af te dekken. Bewerkte de zijkanten met het Peace, love and joy stencil met Picked Raspberry Distress inkt.

Heat embost the sentiment and cut it using a banner. Stempelde alle afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met de bijbehorende stansen. Plakte ze op de kaart met verschillende hoogte foamtape. Heat emoste de tekst en stanste het uit met een banner stans.

June release and krafty hop!

Hello everyone!

And the day has come that the June Release by Kraftin' Kimmie stamps is available! For today's inspiration i decided to make another card using the Underwater Fun. Vanaf vandaag zijn de juni release producten van Kraftin' Kimmie stamps te koop, welke ga jij halen? Voor mijn inspiratie van vandaag maakte ik een nog een kaart met Underwater Fun.

 For my card i cut a white topfold card 11 x 14 cm. Using Distress Oxide inks i made the underwater scene and cut it using a cirkle die. Out of Kraft paper i cut the sand and added some Distress ink for some detailing.

Voor mijn kaart sneed ik een witte topfold kaart 11 x 14 cm. Met Distress Oxide inkten maakte ik de onderwater wereld en stanste het uit met een cirkel stans. Uit kraft papier stanste ik het zand en met Distress inkt voegde ik wat details toe.

 Out of green cardstock i cut the leaves and added some Mossy Meadow. Die cut the stones out of copic paper en colored them in. Stamped the images colored it in using my Copic markers and cut it out. Uit groen cardstock stanste ik het zeewier en koraal. Bewerkte dit met Mossy Meadow. Stanste de stenen uit Copic vriendelijk papier en kleurde ze in. Stempelde de afbeelding, kleurde deze in en knipte hem uit.

Stamped the image using Wicked Black, colored it up using my Copic markers and cut it out. Heat embost the sentiment on some black cardstock and cut it useing a banner die. Finished my car using different kinds of Krafty Dots. Stempelde de afbeelding met Wicked Black, kleurde hem in en knipte deze uit. Heat emboste de tekst op zwart cardstock, stanste deze uit met een banner stans. Werkte het geheel af met Krafty Dots.

Krafty Peeks day 3 : Turtley Awesome + a challenge

Welcome to day Three of the June Krafty peeks by Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. It's the last day because of tomorrow all the goodies will be available in store. Today we have a really versatile set by artist Becky called Turtley Awesome. Hallo allemaal, welkom bij dag drie van de juni release week van Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. Vandaag is de laatste dag want... morgen zijn alle nieuwe producten te koop! Vandaag een set van artiest Becky; Turtley Awesome.

 This new set contains a few different images of turtles having a summery adventure combined with several matching sentiments it is a great set for any of your card making or craft projects. 

Deze set heeft verschillende lieve afbeeldingen van een schilpadden die een zonnig avontuur beleven. Uiteraard zitten er weer verschillende passende teksten bij.

 For my inspiration today i decided to make a set of Artist Trading Cards. So i started of making the backgrounds. I cut a white panel using the ATC die. Masked of 4cm of the top and added Lovely Lagoon and Salty Sea. Then masked the sea and added the sky using Bubbly Blue. Last i added Totally Taupe for the sand and splattered some Marvelous Mocha mixed with water on top of it. Voor mijn inspiratie maakte ik een serie Artist Trading Cards. Stanste een stuk wit cardstock en maskeerde op 4cm van boven. Maakte de zee met Lovely Lagoon en Salty Sea, de lucht met Bubbly Blue en het strand met Totally Taupe en spetterde Marvelous Mocha gemixt met water.

Stamped all three images using Wicked Black, Colored them up and cut them using my Brother Scan & Cut. Glued the images on the cards and die cut the palm tree using green and kraft cardstock. Added some Copic coloring on the trunks and some Charming Chartreuse on the leaves. Stempelde de afbeeldingen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en sneed ze uit met mijn Brother Scan & Cut. Plakte ze op de kaartjes en stanste de palmbomen uit groen en kraft cardstock. Bewerkte de stam met Copic markers en de bladeren met Charming Chartreuse. 

Cut the designpaper using the biggest die from the ATC die set and glued them together. Heat embost the setiment on some cardstock and cut it using a banner die. Uit designpapier stanste ik de grootste maat van de ATC stans set en plakte ze op elkaar. Heat emboste de tekst op cardstock en stanste het uit met een banner stans.
