Happy Birthday to you

Hallo allemaal,

Ik geloof dat mijn motivatie en inspiratie weer terug is... De afgelopen dagen al lekker aan de freubel en de één na de ander rolt er uit. Zo ook deze kaart die ik maakte naar aanleiding van de schets en kleuren challenge van My Favorite Things. I believe my motivation and inspiration is back in town. The last few days i have been busy making card and one after the other is getting out of my hands. Like this card wich i made after the sketch and color challenge by My Favorite Things.

Sneed een topfold witte kaart van 10 x 13,5 cm. Stanste uit drie verschillende kleuren cardstock de driehoeken en legde deze volgens de schets op elkaar. Plakte ze in verschillende hoogtes op om wat dementie te krijgen. It's a white topfold card 10 x 13,5 cm. Die cut the triangles in three different colors and matched them on the card using the sketch as a guideline. Glued them on the card using different types of heights to give it some dimension.

Stanste het woord wish uit een andere kleur cardstock en maakte het vlammetje vast aan het steeltje. Plakte alles over de driehoeken heen. Stempelde de tekst en stanste dit uit met een banner. Die cut the word wish from a different type of cardstock and added the flame to the i. Adhered it over the triangles. Stamped the sentiment and die cut it with a banner die.

Kraftin' Kimmie - Inspirational Wednesday

Hello all,

Today it is my turn again to inspire on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog this Wednesday with a card by me. I decided to play with one of my all time favorite the Drama Llama set by artist Melissa. Here is what i made for you. Vandaag is het mijn beurt om jullie te inspireren op het blog van Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Ik besloot een van mijn favorite stempels te gebruiken namelijk de Drama Llama set van artiest Melissa. Hier is wat ik bedacht heb.

For the inspiration card i decided to make a slimeline card. The seize is a 6 x 8 inch card folded at 3 inch. I inked up the background using Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxid ink and added some Chipped Sapphire later on. Die cut two different seize circles cut them in smaller pieces and added some ink. Voor de inspiratie kaart maakte ik een slimline kaart. De maat is 6 x 8 inch en gevouwen op 3 inch. De achtergrond inkte ik met Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inkt en voegde later wat Chipped Sapphire toe. Stanste twee verschillende maten cirkels en knipte deze in smallere stukken en bewerkte ze met groene inkt.

Cut some black twine and added them on the top, off different kind of cardstock i die cut some circles and added them on the twine. Die cut the cactussen and flower and inked some up. Added some texture using a white gelpen. Knipte wat zwarte twine en plakte deze aan de bovenkant van de kaart. Stanste wat kleine cirkels uit verschillende kleuren cardstock en plakte deze op de twine. Stanste de cactussen en bloemen en bewerkte ze met inkt. Aan de bovenzijde van de kaart bracht it wat structuur aan op de kaart met een witte gelpen.

Stamped the image and colored it up using my Copic Markers. Cut the image using my Brother scan & Cut. Stamped the sentiment on the card to finish the card. Stempelde de afbeelding en kleurde deze in met mijn Copics. Sneed hem uit met mijn Brother scan & cut. Stempelde de tekst om de kaart compleet te maken.

Gisteren maakte ik onderstaande kaart naar aanleiding van de schets challenge bij My Favorite Things, ook komt hij op de stapel voor Sandra als voorbeeld dus wellicht zie je hem ergens op een beurs voorbij komen. Yesterday i made this card inspired by this weeks sketch challenge by My Favorite Things. This card also is going to Sandra, so she can us it as an example card so who knows you might bump into it.

Er was veel vraag naar mijn Distress achtergrond / maanlandschappen dus ik heb deze keer mijn kaart process opgenomen. Ik kwam er aan het einde achter dat niet alles is opgenomen omdat mijn telefoon vol was maar ik kwam een heel eind. Mocht je het videoprocess willen zien tzt volg dan even mijn Youtube. There were loads of people asking about my Distress ink background so i decided to film the card progress. At the end i noticed my phone was full so i miss a bit at the end but none the less i think it would work. So if you are interested start following me on Youtube.

De basis is een witte topfold kaart van 11 x 14. Ik sneed een stuk stempelpapier van 12 x 10 en bewerkte dit met Distress inkten tot ik het gewenste effect had. Bewerkte het met water en een witte verf acrylic paint marker. Sneed het op maat voor de kaart en plakte het op. Heat emboste de tekst op een stuk zwart cardstock en stanste het uit. The base is a white topfold card 11 x 14 cm. I cut a piece of stamping paper 12 x 10 cm and added Distress inks onto it until i had the right effect. Splattered some water and white paint with a acrylic paint marker. Cut the paper in the right seize and added it to the card. Heat embost the sentiment on some black cardstock and die cut it into a banner.

Stempelde de afbeelding op Copic papier en kleurde het in met mijn Copic markers. Bracht hier en daar wat accenten aan met een witte gelpen en op het geel deed ik ook wat wink of stella glitter. Stanste het geheel uit met de bijpassende stans en plakte hem op. Stamped the image on some Copic paper and colored it in using my Copic markers. Added some detail with a white gelpen and added some glitter to the yellow using my Wink of Stella. Die cut the image using the matching dies and added it on the card.

Guest designer for Gina K designs

Hello all,

Today i have two cards for you that i made as a guest designer for Gina K Designs. They invited met to play with a stamp by artist Beth Silaika called Happy Hearts. Vandaag heb ik twee kaarten voor jullie die ik maakte als gast designer voor Gina K Designs. Ik ben uitgenodigd om met de set van Beth Silaika genaamd Happy Hearts aan de slag te gaan.

For my first card i cut a square panel 10 x 10 cm. Stamped the sentiment with black ink. On some Copic paper i stamped nine of the hearts and colored them up using my Copic markers. Cut them out and glued them on the card using some 3-d dots. Adhered the panel to a 10,5 x 10,5 cm topfold white card.

Uit wit cardstock sneed ik een vierkant van 10 x 10. Stempelde de tekst op de basis. Op Copic papier stempelde ik de negen harten en kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers. Knipte ze uit en plakte ze op het vierkant met 3-d dots. Plakte het paneel op een witte topfold basis kaart van 10,5 x 10,5 cm

For my second card i cut a white topfold card seize 11 x 14 cm. I stamped the first circle on the base. I placed the Mirror Image stamp in my Misti and placed the circle stamp upside down on the card, Inked it up and stamped it on the Mirror Image stamp. Removed the stamp and stamped the image on the cardbase. Because it was a bit blurry i retraced it with a fineliner. Colored in the hearts and added some glossy accent. Stamped the sentiment and that was it.

Voor mijn tweede kaart sneed ik een topfold witte kaart van 11 x 14 cm. Stempelde de cirkel op de kaart. Plaatste mijn Mirror Image stamp in my Misti en plaatste de stempel onderste boven op mijn kaart. Bracht inkt aan op de stempel en stempelde hem op mijn Mirror Images stempel. Verwijderde de stempel en stempelde de afbeelding op de kaart. Omdat deze niet scherp was heb ik hem over getrokken met een zwarte fineliner. Kleurde de hartjes in met Copics en gaf ze een laagje glossy accent. Stempelde de tekst met rode inkt en klaar was Marieke.

For my card i started with a white topfold cardbase 10 x 10 cm. Added some blue ink in the right corner and splattered some water on to it. Stamped and colored up the images and added the envelop and heart to the image. Voor mijn kaartbasis starte ik met een witte topfold kaart van 10 x 10 cm. In de hoek bracht ik wat blauwe inkt aan en spetterde er wat water op. Stempelde de afbeeldingen en kleurde ze in. de envelop en het hartje voegde ik toe aan het geheel.

Die cut three small banners out of designpaper. Heat embost the text on some purple cardstock and added some enamel dots to finish it of. Stanste drie smalle banners uit designpapier. Heat emboste de tekst op paars cardstock en voegde wat enamel dots to om het geheel af te maken.

Sending you Strength

Hier was ik weer met een kaart, het voordeel van wat inspiratieloosheid en wat gebrek aan motivatie is dat je motivatie kunt beïnvloeden en voor inspiratie uit kunt wijken naar opdrachten. Zo ging ik aan de slag met de schets challenge van My Favorite Things voor deze week. Here i'm with another card. The good things about having a lack of inspiration and motivation, is that you can influence the motivation and you can get inspiration everywhere like with this card with challenge's. I played with the current sketch challenge by My Favorite Things.

De basis is een dubbele kaart van 11 x 14. Op stempel papier maakte ik de achtergrond en de maan met Distress inkten. Stempelde de tekst en spetterde wat water en inkt op de kaart voor meer detail. The base of the card is a 11 x 14 cm seize. On some stamping paper i made the background and the moon using Distress inks. Stamped the sentiment on the moon and added some detail using water and paint.

Stempelde de takken en de kat, kleurde ze in met mijn Copics en knipte ze uit. Plakte ze op de kaart en klaar was kees, hij was ook binnen 1,5 klaar. Voor mij echt snel! Stamped the trees and cat, colored them using my Copic markers and cut them out. Glued them on the card and that was it, i was done in about 1,5 hour, a real speed record for me to make a card.

Drink up and you'll forget, you're another year older

Hallo allemaal,

Daar was ik weer eens, mijn inspiratie en motivatie is ver te zoeken en het moet echt uit mijn tenen komen momenteel. Zo ging ik gisteren aan de slag met een de leuke Zippy Zebra's van My Favorite Things. Deze leuke zebra's lagen al sinds dat ze released zijn op mijn bureau te wachten. Here i'm after some time, my inspiration and motivation are far away and it's a real struggle to get something out of my hands. I still try to get crafty so i played with the Zippy Zebra's by My Favorite Things. They were on my desk since they were released so i decided it was time to play with them.

Het is een witte topfold kaart van 14 x 11. Ik maskeerde de onderzijde van de kaart en bracht Twisted Citron Distress inkt aan. Spetterde wat water voor wat structuur. Aan de bovenzijde stempelde ik de tekst. It's a white topfold card seize 14 x 11. I masked of the bottom of the card and added some Twisted Citron Distress ink. Splattered some water to give it some texture. On the top of the card i stamped the sentiment.

Stempelde de zebra's, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic Markers en stanste ze daarna uit. Uit Copic papier stanste ik het wijnglas en ook deze kleurde ik in met mijn Copic markers. Ik maakte het wijnglas compleet met de shaker pouch en wat sequins. Stamped the zebra's, colored them using my Copic markers and die cut them using the matching dies. Out of Copic paper i also die cut the glass and colored it up with my Copics. I finished the glass using a shaker pouch and some sequins.

Plakte alles op de kaart en toen kwam de struggle... ik was niet tevreden en kon niets bedacht krijgen om het compleet te maken. De tekst had ik eerst op de kaart gestempeld dat was te kaal daarna op zwart geheat embost en uitgestanst dat was al beter maar nog niet je van het.. Tot mijn vriend zei; "waarom geef je ze geen strik, zoals het lijkt of dat ze uit eten zijn" Ik heb hem een dikke kus gegeven want dat was net wat de kaart nodig had voor mijn gevoel. Glued everything on the card and then the struggle came... i was not happy with the way it looked and i could not figure out what it was the card needed. I stamped the sentiment straight on the card before that was to plain. The heat embost sentiment with the speech bubble is way better, but it still missed something. Until my boyfriend said; "why don't you add a bow to them, it will look like they are having a fancy dinner" i kissed him because that was exactly what the card needed.

Happiness is a cup of coffee with a good friend.

Hallo allemaal,

Zaterdag samen met mijn vriend een heel stuk gewandeld terwijl we Pókemons vingen, het was dan ook schitterend weer. Gisteren was het weer wat minder mooi en dus weer tijd om mijn knutselkamer in te duiken. Ik maakte met twee huidige challenge's van My Favorite Things en de vraag van Sandra om voor Scrap & Co nog wat voorbeelden te maken deze koffie kaart. Saturday i went for a walk with my boyfriend while playing Pokemon Go. The weather was outstanding for this time of the year. Yesterday the weather was not that great so time to do some cardmaking. I combined two of the current challenge's by My Favorite Things, with the request by Sandra to make some example cards for Scrap & Co into this coffee card.

Voor de huidige kleuren challenge starte ik met een topfold Grout Grey basiskaart 10 x 12,5 cm. Uit Gravel Grey cardstock stanste ik een rechthoek en bewerkte dit met een achtergrond stempel. Heat emboste de tekst op Electric Red cardstock en sneed het uit. For the current color challenge i started of with a topfold Grout Grey cardbase 10 x 12,5 cm. Out of Gravel Grey cardstock i die cut the rectangle and added the hearts using a background stamp. Heat embost the sentiment on some Electric Red cardstock and cut it out.

Stempelde het meisje op Copic papier en kleurde haar in met mijn Copics. Stempelde het meisje nogmaals op Gravel Grey en knipte de ovalen uit de bekers. Paperpieced dit op de beker en stanste twee Tickled Pink hartjes uit. Stamped the image on some Copic paper and colored her up using my Copic markers. Stamped the girl again on some Gravel Grey and cut out the ovals. Paperpieced the ovals on the original image and added some Tickled Pink hearts.

January release and krafty hop!

Hello everyone!

And the day has come that the January Release by Kraftin' Kimmie stamps is available! Go quickly to the shop and make sure to buy all our new goodies! Vanaf vandaag zijn de November release producten van Kraftin' Kimmie stamps te koop, welke ga jij halen?

For my hop card i decided to make another card using the You're Gnaw-some set. The base of the card is a topfold kraft card. Using Picket Fence Distress ink i made hearts on the base using the Happy Hearts stencil. Cut out a strip of vellum and embossed it using a embossing folder. Cut a piece of white cardstock and added some blue Distress ink. Voor mijn hop kaart besloot ik nog een kaart te maken met de You're Gnaw-some set. De basis is een topfold kraft kaart die ik bewerkte met het Happy Hearts stencil en Picket Fence Distress inkt. Sneed een stuk vellum en emboste dit met een embossing folder. Stanste een stuk wit cardstock en bewerkte dit met Distress inkt.

Out of kraft and two different colors of green cardstock i die cut the trees and made them into several trees. I added some texture using some Distress ink. Stamped the image, colored it up and cut it out. Cut a strip of orange and heat embost the sentiment. To add a little more color i used the same color paper and heat embost another sentiment and cut it out like a speech bubble. Uit kraft en twee soorten groen cardstock stanste ik de bomen en maakte er verschillende bomen van. Bracht wat extra contrast aan door de spetteren met Distress inkt. Stempelde de bever, kleurde hem in met mijn Copics en knipte hem uit. Op een stuk oranje cardstock heat emboste ik de tekst. Om nog wat meer kleur toe te voegen gebruikte ik het zelfde oranje en bracht nog een tekst aan. Deze stanste ik tot een spraakwolk.

Krafty Peeks day 3 : Happy Hedgehogs + a challenge

Welcome to day Three of the January Krafty peeks by Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. It's the last day because of tomorrow all the goodies will be available in store. Today we have a really versatile set by artist Melissa called Happy Hedgehogs. Hallo allemaal, welkom bij dag drie van de November release week van Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. Vandaag is de laatste dag want... morgen zijn alle nieuwe producten te koop! Vandaag een set van artiest Melissa; Happy Hedgehogs

This new set contains a few different images of cute hedgehogs and several matching sentiments great for any of your card making or craft projects. Deze set heeft verschillende lieve afbeeldingen van verschillende egels. Uiteraard zitten er weer verschillende passende teksten bij.

For my card i made a small white panel and added some pink ink. Die cut the letters and gave them some intrest by using glossy accent. Die cut two small strips of the same purple cardstock and two small strips of design paper. Stamped the image and colored it up using my Copic Markers, and added some wink of stella to the flowers. Voor mijn kaart maakte ik een wit paneel en bracht er wat roze inkt op aan. Stanste de letters en bewerkte deze met glossy accent. Stempelde de afbeelding, kleurde deze in en sneed hem uit. Op de bloemen bracht ik nog wat Wink of Stella aan.

Krafty Peeks day 2: You're gnaw-some

Hello all,

Welcome back to Day Two of our January Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! Today we are sharing a set called You're Gnaw-some! by artist Neda Sedadrin. It's a fun and versatile set with super cute and fun beavers! Hallo allemaal en vandaag dag twee van de release week van Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. Vandaag laten we een stempel zien van artiest Neda Sedadrin genaamd You're Gnaw-some! Een grappige set met super bevers.

This super fun set consist out of three beavers, six sentiments and three extra stamps to use build your scene's. De set bestaat uit drie beavers, zes teksten en drie losse stempels om je scene's mee te maken.

For my card as a a base i used the pond builder by Hello Bluebird. I combined it with the rectangle shaker die by My Favorite Things. So i build up the scene inside the shaker using different colors of cardstock, Krafty Scenery Stencil and inks. Voor mijn basis gebruikte ik de vijver builder van Hello Bluebird. Ik combineerde deze met de rechthoekige shaker stans van My Favorite Things. Bouwde de scene in de shaker met verschillende kleuren cardstock, Krafty Scenery Stencil en inkten.

Filled up the shaker with two different types of sequins and two different seizes of hearts. The front panel i inked up using the Woodgrain stencil. Finished of the top of the shaker with some pond flowers. Vulde de shaker met twee verschillende soorten sequins en twee verschillende maten papieren hartjes. Het paneel van de shaker bewerkte ik met het woodgrain stencil.

Stamped the beavers and the hearts on Copic paper and colored them up using my Copic Markers. Cut them out using my Brother Scan & Cut. Placed them on top of the shaker panel so the would be the focal point. Heat embost the sentiment on some black paper and cut it into a banner. Stempelde de bevers en het hart op Copic papier en kleurde ze in met mijn Copic Markers. Sneed ze daarna uit met mijn Brother Scan & Cut en plakte ze op de shaker zodat ze het aandachtspunt zijn. Heat emboste de tekst op zwart cardstock en sneed er een banner van.
